[CRIMSON] 8/13/10 ~ Iwate Memorial Openweight Six Man Cup Second Round

- NANSEI's former top heel unit, the Pacific Rim Exchange gained a measure of redemption in the only six man non-tournament match of the night. PRE's leader Buntaro Sakata planting Yukihiro Ogura with an STO for the easy victory over Tomizaki, Endo & Ogura...

- The Okinawa Speed Stars and WILD ANIMAL ADVENTURE competed in a wild athletic (minus Yoritomo...) battle. After a back and forth struggle, FURY's Kotaro Ota and CRIMSON's Hayato Saigo debuted a new double team maneuver. Ota's Satsugai Savate Kick combined with a thrust kick from Hayato Saigo fired at the same time, crushing Kaisen Tiger's skull in between their vicious strikes. Ota and Saigo dubbed their new double team move the "Oita to Okinawa" or O2O for short...

- American invaders from James Goodwin's promotion in southern California marched to CRIMSON for battle against the open gender team of UNLIMITED STRONGEST. "Texas Outlaw" Jake Bishop displayed southern hospitality by refusing to allow the other two members of his team to attack Chihiro Nomura multiple times, claiming that a real man wouldn't hurt a woman much to his partner's anger...The match became for all intents and purposes a 3 on 2 battle after Nomura finally agreed to step out of the battle to Ariwa, Noguchi & Bishop's relief. This allowed Bishop himself to score the victory with the Texan Bomber on Noguchi. Bishop promised he would make a "full Japan revival" based off this tournament...

- KYOURUI 6's WORLD'S STRONGEST TERRORISTS met their match in the semi final, as they faced off against the "Shining Blazers" former three members of AVENIR. After a back and forth affair, Hiroshi Kuroki targeted Kojiro Kanesaka's knee with several pin-point attacks before locking Kanesaka in an Inverted Figure Four, a move Kuroki rarely if ever uses for the submission. Backstage, Kuroki admitted that he had been practicing the move to avoid being "left behind" by the other four former AVENIR members...

- Nobuyori Shimizu requested one more title defense before the one year mark of his C-1 Heavyweight Champion reign. And he has gotten his challenger. Makoto Saito and Bloody Gears made true on their comments the previous night against the inter promotional UNDYING HEART team. Challenge issuer Makoto Saito, after two Shiraku Blades, cleanly pinned the C-1 Heavyweight Champion Nobuyori Shimizu for the fall. Saito directly propositioned President Yuki Nomura for the C-1 Heavyweight Championship match. Nomura relented to Saito's request, announcing Nobuyori Shimizu who is aiming for his V.7 defense of the C-1 Heavyweight Championship will battle Bloody Gears leader Makoto Saito on September 1st at the Ishinomaki City Gymnasium in Miyagi!

Only the final night remains in the Iwate Memorial Openweight Six Man Cup. Four teams remain. The odd couple pairing of the "new" Okinawa Speed Stars, the American Invaders, The former three members of AVENIR, and the only "unit" left from Bloody Gears.

In addition, after their incident several weeks ago, C-1 Junior-Heavyweight Champion Kenta Arakiki returns to CRIMSON to team with Keoni Murata. They face off against Takayuki Ariwa and Kaisen Tiger. After the open hostility Murata threw at Arakiki for his actions in discarding the C-1 Junior-Heavyweight Championship, can the two possibly co-exist?
