Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON returned to their home of Iwate at the Iwate Town Training Center for the first defense of the C-1 Tag Championships of Tenshin Komatsu and Makoto Saito against Toshiro Noguchi & Takayuki Ariwa! However, the main event nearly began before the event even began when Nobuyori Shimizu came out for a pre-show addressed to the crowd! Shimizu sported his massive arm brace and talked directly to the fans…He announced that the tear in his shoulder had been worse then expected…and that he would be out for six to twelve months recovering! The loyal CRIMSON fans began to chant Shimizu’s name as he visibly began to tear up. However, the moment was disturbed as Tenshin Komatsu walked out to the ring. Komatsu took a microphone, and apologized to Shimizu for what he had done! Komatsu added that he had never intended to hurt Shimizu’s arm to this degree, and begged for forgiveness! Shimizu seemed hesitant, but then accepted Komatsu’s out stretched hand! The fans applauded the two young stars as they held up hands. The moment was quickly dashed, however, as Aku Toyota burst into the ring and BLINDSIDED Shimizu with a chair from behind! The rest of Rouzeki-GUN ran to the ring, and the entire group began to attack the downed Shimizu! N.G.I. were the first to respond as Toshiro Noguchi and Takayuki Ariwa dashed to the ring to help Shimizu, but Rouzeki-GUN had armed themselves with chairs and held them at bay! Yuki Nomura led another charge along with Yujiro Higuchi and Eiichi Aihara, but again they couldn’t break through Rouzeki-GUN’s defenses! In the ring, Komatsu had torn off Shimizu’s brace and was about to lock Shimizu in the Iron Cross when “Tsunami of OZEKI” began to play! The fans in the Iwate Town Training Center exploded as Izumo Yoritomo power walked to the ring, in an incredible foul mood! Yoritomo reached the ring, but was smashed in the head by Toyota with a chair…Only to have the former Sumo show no reaction! Yoritomo grabbed Toyota by the throat and threw him over the top! Yoritomo climbed into the ring and began to attack Rouzeki-GUN! However, their numbers were starting to catch up when Keiji Hirano suddenly spring boarded into the ring with a diving clothesline taking Makoto Saito out! The CRIMSON Sekigun poured into the ring and Rouzeki-GUN fled! While NGI and the others checked on Shimizu, Yoritomo took the microphone and issued a deadly threat! Yoritomo said he was disgusted by Rouzeki-GUN’s cowardly actions, and that they were a scourge that he would extinguish from Pro-Wrestling! Shimizu had been helped to his feet, and Yoritomo walked over to Shimizu and then pledged that in Shimizu’s stead he would fight in this war for him! Yoritomo announced that he and Hirano would be joining the Sekigun instead of forming their own faction! Yoritomo then added that since they had taken Shimizu out and he could not be in the corner of NGI tonight, that HE would be taking Shimizu’s place!
The main event itself began some time later and saw Tenshin Komatsu and Makoto Saito fighting the newest incarnation of “Neo Generation Idealists” of Toshiro Noguchi and Takayuki Ariwa! Komatsu & Noguchi’s game plan was simple and effective as they isolated Ariwa for large stretches of time in the match up .However, Ariwa refused to give in and nearly beat Saito with a powerful spear before taking in Noguchi! The match quickly broke apart with all four men franticly fighting all about the ring. Aku Toyota suddenly sprinted to the ring, drawing the attention of the still ill-tempered Izumo Yoritomo who met Toyota in the aisle way and LEVELED him with a body tackle! In the ring Komatsu & Saito disposed of Noguchi after he had tagged out, and then viciously began to double team Ariwa in the confusion. Komatsu hit his Komatsu Knee Kick, which sent Ariwa stumbling backwards right into Makoto Saito’s flying kick, the Shinto Akuji, Rouzeki-GUN covering for the all important three count to keep the tag championships! Komatsu and Saito began to attack the downed Ariwa, seemingly intent on ending his career when Keiji Hirano again appeared out of nowhere and whacked both men with a chair! Rouzeki-GUN fled, and Hirano took the microphone CHALLENGING Makoto Saito and Tenshin Komatsu on July the 1st to put up the C-1 Tag Championships against the team of Izumo Yoritomo and Keiji Hirano! Neither man gave a response and simply left the ringside area with Aku Toyota in tow!
The Backdrop Brothers suffered their first defeat as a team in the semi-final, as the team of the C-1 Heavyweight Champion Yuki Nomura and Yujiro Higuchi were able to best them. All four are well versed tag wrestlers, and it simply came down to experience as Nomura and Higuchi were able to capitalize on mistakes, before Higuchi spiked Mikio Tsuruya on the back of his head with a Nodowa-Otoshi for the win!
The team of Izumo Yoritomo and Keiji Hirano were set back in their first battle in this “new war” as Rouzeki-GUN was able to overcome them. “Disorder King” Goro Iijima and “Power Summit” Aku Toyota met Yoritomo and Hirano with all their power right off the bat, leaving little subtlety and skill in their wake. Keiji Hirano nearly had the match won at the end, which would have been the biggest win of his career as he went for the Moonsault Press on Aku Toyota; however Toyota rolled out of the way. Amazingly Hirano landed on his feet, once again showing his amazing agility, but Toyota promptly kicked Hirano low and then blasted him with a short range lariat for the quick pinfall victory!
The war between the Junior Sekigun and the MILLENNIUM STARS continued in the fourth match of the night as Hayato Saigo lead Keoni Murata and Natsuo Sakoda to victory over Millennium S.K., SLAYER and HANZO in a spirited contest. Despite their upcoming match on this tour, Saigo and S.K. were not the focus as a growing rivalry seems to be growing between SLAYER and Keoni Murata, reminiscent of Murata’s long time feud with Shin Kaiju. Murata fired everything he had at the massive junior, but SLAYER would not stay down! Instead, Murata turned his attention on HANZO and was able to put the mystical ninja away with a Backdrop Suplex!
Ryoma Inoue continues to be an enigma in Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON since his change of heart, as showcased in two back to back matches! In the second match of the night, Akira Tomizaki and Ryosei Royama engaged in a strong, but basic match up that saw both men use their offense to take control of the match. However, no winner would be decided between the two tonight as Ryoma Inoue suddenly charged into the ring and attacked BOTH men at the same time! There was some confusion on what the match should be called, until it was finally decided that since Ryoma had attacked BOTH Tomizaki and Royama that it was a no-contest! When Tomizaki and Royama attempted to fight back, Ryoma quickly turned and fled the ring! However, he’d be right back out as he teamed with Sojiro Sayuki against the OVERTHROW team of Naoki Daishi and Akahito Yamada. AGAIN, Ryoma couldn’t behave himself as just four minutes in; Ryoma suddenly donned his sunglasses, dropped off the apron and left the ring area! There was again confusion, but the match resumed this time as a handicap match! Sayuki tried to fight back, but OVERTHROW were able to completely overwhelm him in less then two minutes, with Daishi getting the pin with his Northern Lights Bomb! After the match, Daishi stated in the back that he was already growing “tired” of Ryoma’s new attitude, and that if he had to, he would bash respect into Inoue’s mind! The opening match of the show saw Eiichi Aihara show Kazuki Takagi what “the meaning of pro-wrestling was” by schooling him with his holds and submissions, before catching the big young man with a backslide for the win.
