Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON ~ Power Source Tournament Day 3 ~ 05/12/07

Day three of the Power Source tournament saw Nobuyori Shimizu take one more step towards rebirth. It was in 2003 at the first Power Source tournament where the “new” Shimizu appeared, and in 2007, it seems a new Shimizu has been born! Shimizu clashed with Makoto Saito in a double revenge match as not only did Komatsu and Saito take the tag championships from Shimizu and Noguchi earlier this year, but on the last event, Saito beat Noguchi! Saito controlled most of the match like he did against Noguchi, but Shimizu refused to die before coming back with near falls off a running elbow and the Tsuyosa German Suplex. Saito survived Shimizu’s top moves and began to work over Shimizu’s arm that he had come into the match with bandaged, but Shimizu surprised not only the fans but also Makoto Saito by refusing to give up, and driving Saito’s head into the mat with a new move, a Thunder Fire Powerbomb for the win and two points! However, after the fall Shimizu collapsed to the mat holding his arm in obvious pain from the efforts of the matches! Like Nobuyori Shimizu, Tenshin Komatsu continues to plug along in the tournament, as he took on his former stablemate, the massive wrestler Yujiro Higuchi. Komatsu spent most of the match staying out of the way of Higuchi’s massive power, not willing to make the same mistake that Aku Toyota made on day two. After several minutes, Higuchi began to visibly tire from chasing Komatsu, and the young ruthless warrior took the advantage by blasting away at Higuchi with simple but effective attacks. Higuchi was finally floored with a palm strike, and then BLASTED as he tried to stand up with a sliding knee kick from Komatsu for the win!

Aku Toyota continued his warpath after losing on day two to Yujiro Higuchi by rebounding with a dominating victory over Keiji Hirano. Hirano fought a brave and valiant fight, but Toyota used his power and heel tactics to keep Hirano grounded and injured. When Hirano attempted to make the comeback, Toyota simply grabbed him by the hair and then murdered him with a short range lariat for the victory! The first tournament match of the night was also the longest as Goro Iijima and Toshiro Noguchi clashed. It was a very back and forth match, as both men controlled various parts of the match. Iijima nearly got the win with both the GORO Stretch and a Dragon Suplex, but Noguchi refused to lose and fought back! Iijima attempted to hit a running boot to the face, but Noguchi dodged out of the way and BLASTED Iijima with a flash Thunder Hammer, covering for the shocking upset victory! Iijima couldn’t believe it after the three count, but all it took was a one second lapse of concentration to allow Noguchi to get the biggest upset thus far of the tournament!

Yuki Nomura got a day off from his struggles with the massive Izumo Yoritomo as he teamed with Block B’s Kenjiro Amagawa against Kazuki Takagi and Block A’s Eiichi Aihara. Nomura and Amagawa proved to be a well put together tag team as they systematically destroyed both Takagi and Aihara, before Nomura used his Shukuen finisher to put Takagi out of commission for the victory. On the subject of the massive challenger for Nomura’s championship, Izumo Yoritomo was in singles action for the first time since joining Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON! Izumo Yoritomo took on the young wrestler Takayuki Ariwa, in what was a brutal beating from before the bell could even ring. Ariwa was woefully under-matched against the power and ferocity of Yoritomo’s attack, with Yoritomo even going as far as to tie Ariwa’s head using the ropes at one point and then violently yank on his legs! Ariwa looked completely spent as Yoritomo landed a massive lariat, and then covered him with one foot to get the decisive crushing victory!

The heat-up for the Junior-Heavyweight championship match continued as Hayato Saigo and his mentor Keoni Murata had another prelude to their singles match on day five. Neither man could get a significant edge on the other, which left it up to Akahito Yamada and Ryoma Inoue. The OFFICE KAZUMA wrestler, Akahito Yamada continued his surge up the ranks of Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON as he bested the young Inoue with his Straight Jacket Suplex for the victory! After the match, Inoue was visibly upset at his performance, but Keoni Murata was able to calm his young protégé down without incident.

Before the first match, Millennium S.K. held another meeting, where he asked HANZO how he was enjoying his new character. Hanzo was thoughtful, but then answered that he felt like he was “living a past life” which received laughter from the fans. Their opponents were all business as Naoki Daishi and the young Sojiro Sayuki took it right to the two MILLENNIUM STARS members. However, despite the levity of their talk segment before the match, S.K. and HANZO isolated Sayuki with ease before S.K. dropped Sayuki with the Millennium Driver for the win!

-----

Things are still a mess in Block A. Nobuyori Shimizu has pulled ahead with two wins and one draw at five points, but he only has one more match left in the tournament against Goro Iijima on Day Four, which means there is still room for everyone but Aihara to squeak into the finals. The highest points Aihara can get is four now, which won’t be high enough even if everyone else drew.

Block A:
Nobuyori Shimizu [5]
Toshiro Noguchi [3]
Makoto Saito [2]
Goro Iijima [2]
Eiichi Aihara [0]

Block B is almost as bad as Block A, but two clear leaders have emerged. Rouzeki-GUN is controlling Block B with both Tenshin Komatsu and Aku Toyota at four points. Toyota only has one more match, and it will decide who pulls ahead as on Day Four Komatsu and Toyota will clash! Below them, Amagawa and Higuchi are still in contention at two points, while Hirano like Aihara is completely out of the running.

Block B:
Tenshin Komatsu [4]
Aku Toyota [4]
Kenjiro Amagawa [2]
Yujiro Higuchi [2]
Keiji Hirano [0]
