Day two of the Power Source tournament saw the second crushing defeat for Yuki Nomura against the awesome power of Izumo Yoritomo. It was Goro Iijima, Tenshin Komatsu & Izumo Yoritomo against Yuki Nomura and his woefully under powered partners of Kazuki Takagi and Takayuki Ariwa. Nomura put up the valiant fight, but the weakness of his partners allowed Izumo Yoritomo to crush Ariwa with an Izumo Thunder for the victory! Nomura attempted to check on his fallen partner, but Yoritomo suddenly attacked from behind, knocking Nomura to the ground before SQUASHING him with a splash! Nomura clutched his ribs in pain, as the mammoth former Sumo was finally hauled away.
The Power Source tournament began with the rivals Kenjiro Amagawa and Keiji Hirano facing off once again in a heated contest. Keiji Hirano has struggled to surpass the "Super Rookie" Kenjiro Amagawa in stature, and tonight was just more of the same. Hirano put up a strong fight against Amagawa, but Amagawa dropped Hirano on the back of his head with a Backdrop Suplex for the two points! Nobuyori Shimizu and Eiichi Aihara had a strong contest in the second tournament match, with Aihara continuously frustrating the former tag champion with his slick technical abilities, including nearly getting the pinfall with a cobra twist cradle. However, Shimizu rallied and put Aihara away with the Tsuyosa German Suplex for the two points.
Rouzeki-GUN won the first of two matches with their members in the match as Makoto Saito defeated Toshiro Noguchi. It was supposed to be revenge for the former tag champion, but it didn't pan out that way for him. Saito used his slick striking skills to wear Noguchi down with low and middle kicks, before hitting a high kick into the Silencer for the win, and his first points of the tournament! The former MISSION:POWER teammates Yujiro Higuchi and Aku Toyota clashed in the final tournament match. The two bitterly tore into each other, with both men bleeding heavily just minutes into the match! However, the frantic pace led to a shockingly quick finish as Toyota charged Higuchi with a chair, only to have Higuchi duck under and deliver a MASSIVE Nodowa-Otoshi for the shocking pinfall! The scene was chaotic after the match as Rouzeki-GUN stormed the ring, and a huge attack on Higuchi followed. Toyota choked his former partner with a chair, before help in the form of Nobuyori Shimizu and Toshiro Noguchi and others raced to the ring to break up the carnage!
Originally, there were supposed to be two undercard matches, but due to Millennium S.K.'s demands, the six man and singles matches were combined into one massive eight man tag. S.K. gave introductions for Hijiyama and Tomizaki personally in order to debut their new characters. The lights dimmed in the Miyako 1000 Tokuji Gymnasium, as a warrior's battle theme came on. Like a movie character, Hanzo Hijiyama streaked down to the ring, before leaping into the ring and striking battle poses! S.K. introduced Hijiyama as the living descendent of the legendary Hattori Hanzō, and would now be known as the leader of Hattori's legendary Ninja clan! With a dramatic tinge to his voice, S.K. revealed Hijiyama as the mystical ninja HANZO! After everyone had recovered from HANZO's dramatic reveal, the familiar tunes of "Surfing USA" from the Beach Boys began to play, as Akira Tomizaki came running to the ring with bleached blonde hair and carrying a surfboard! Tomizaka attempted to slide into the ring on the surfboard, but accidentally hit the bottom rope with the surfboard which sent him bouncing off the rope and crashing to the floor. In the ring, all S.K. could do was shake his head in disappointment at Tomizaki's character as he introduced him as "WET! WILD! AND CRAZY!", Akira Tomizaki to a loud round of laughter. The match finally got under way, and was chaotic from the ringing of the bell. MILLENNIUM STARS controlled the majority of the match through double teams. Near the end of the match, everything broke apart and the rule book was thrown out of the window. SLAYER found a practical use for Tomizaki's surfboard as he proceeded to beat all their opponents’ silly with it... Tomizaki attempted to follow SLAYER's example, and tossed the surfboard toward Akahito Yamada's face. Yamada simply caught the board, and then tossed it back into Tomizaki's face knocking him out instantly for the win. After the match, S.K. held a group meeting and called Hijiyama's new character a "passing success" saying it gave his wrestling a more energetic feeling. However, S.K. was harsh with Tomizaki, calling his new "WET! WILD! AND CRAZY!" character a complete failure. S.K. said that he would give Tomizaki another chance, and to show up on the 16th with a character befitting of MILLENNIUM STARS. Tomizaki attempted to beg for forgiveness, but S.K. said that he wasn't who he should be apologizing to, as he had DEEPLY shamed SLAYER with his character! Tomizaki dropped to his knees to ask for forgiveness, but SLAYER didn't respond...
