[Late CRIMSON] 1/03/10 ~ FUSION League Details

Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON held a press conference to announce not only the teams of the 2010 FUSION League, but in addition the lineups for the entire tour! Along with President Yuki Nomura were all seven tag teams to give their thoughts on the tournament. President Nomura in addition revealed that on the final tournament night on the 17th, Ikuji Royama would make his fifth defense of the C-1 Junior-Heavyweight Championship against AVENIR's Kaisen Tiger! Masakazu Fujimoto loudly screamed "More favoritism", much to the annoyance of not only Nomura, but the #1 tag team in CRIMSON Kenjiro Amagawa and Shinsuke Takahashi.

C-1 Heavyweight Champion Nobuyori Shimizu and Tenshin Komatsu, or the "Dream Team" spoke first. Shimizu candidly stated that his track record in tournaments wasn't the greatest. Last year's FUSION League, he made the finals only to lose and twice Shimizu has reached the "final stage" of the Power Source tournament only to come up short. Despite this, Shimizu vowed that this year he would "break the cycle". Tenshin Komatsu continued his recent statements, saying that he was "climbing back up the mountain" in regards to his pure wrestling abilities. However Komatsu promised that the union between himself and Shimizu would prove to be the "strongest" team in the world.

Komatsu's brash comments raised the ire of Akuma Toyota who loudly proclaimed himself as the ace of Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON and the "unsurpassed barrier" in this tournament. Toyota appeared less then enamored by his partner Rui Kuriyama who claimed that he would use Toyota's strength to fuel his growth as a "top line player" in CRIMSON. Toyota gruffly told Kuriyama to stay out of his way and they'd achieve total victory easily...

Takayuki Ariwa was introspective admitting that this felt like a dream. After turning his back on NGI in 2008, Ariwa admitted that he never would have expected to once again team up with his senior Toshiro Noguchi. However, Ariwa promised that not only would Noguchi and he win the tournament that he would extract revenge out of Hiroyuki Takano's hide! Noguchi reminded everyone that he and Ariwa had been a top line tag team in 2007, challenging for the C-1 Tag Team Championships. Noguchi called Ariwa's evolution as a pro-wrestler "astounding" and that now they would be an even stronger team then they were originally!

Masakazu Fujimoto refused to comment, only swearing that he would prove once and for all that the "AVENIR punks" were nothing but Nomura's weak puppets...His partner Naoki Daishi spoke at length in his partner's absence. Daishi stated that after announcing his move to heavyweight that he had already put on some weight and that he expected to be above the 100 kilograms by the 5th. Daishi stated that he had placed himself on a strength program and looked to be about 105 kilograms before all was said and done. Daishi swore that the trademark technical wrestling that had carried him to huge success as a junior would lead him to even more success against the heavyweights!

C-1 Tag Team Champions and the "Ace Tag Team" of Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON were next. Kenjiro Amagawa demanded to know why Fujimoto was still ranting about their team being "protected" by Nomura, reminding Fujimoto that he had pinned him less then a full week ago! Fujimoto simply grunted in response. Shinsuke Takahashi promised to raise their value in CRIMSON even further by becoming the first tag team to not only win the tournament but to do so as tag team champions at the same time!

The unnamed faction led by Hiroyuki Takano finally received its identity. C-2 Openweight Champion Hiroyuki Takano produced a logo with "KYOURUI 6" written on it. Takano announced that his "wicked gang six" would run roughshod over Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON in ways that Yankizoku had failed to do. He also displayed a armband with "1" etched onto it. Mikio Tsuruya similarly displayed his own with '2" on his. Takano explained that every member of KYOURUI 6 had a "rank" from lowest being the strongest to highest being the weakest. Takano coolly told his former best friend Takayuki Ariwa that he was "awaiting" their battle on the first night so he could finally show who was the stronger of the two. Mikio Tsuruya was less restrained, as he began SCREAMING at Ariwa that he hadn't forgotten their battle at DUE TIME and would carve revenge out of Ariwa's hide...

The final team to speak happened to be the biggest underdogs of the tournament. Shuji Kawashima and Kazuya Endo both admitted that they were "over matched" against any of the teams in the tournament. Kawashima insisted that regardless of their performance that they would gain "immeasurable experience" from being in the tournament. Endo was less restrained, claiming that his "Spiral Blow" would net them a few victories in the tournament. Endo called out Naoki Daishi specifically, stating that he was eagerly anticipating matching grappling prowess with the greatest submission wrestler in CRIMSON.

Throughout the tour, PHOENIX who is currently unaffiliated teams with KYOURUI 6 members. Also noticeable by their absence is Millennium S.K. and Makoto Saito. There was no word on either man...
