The lineup for the final stage of the 2008 POWER SOURCE tournament was revealed in a small press gathering in the city of Miyako where the final show will be held at the Miyako City Gymnasium. President Mimura gave some thoughts after revealing the lineup.
Due to the unique situation in Block B, there would be a “Playoff” match involving Keiji Hirano, Hiroyuki Takano, and Izumo Yoritomo due to them having a triangle situation. Hirano defeated Yoritomo but lost to Takano. Takano beat Hirano but lost to Yoritomo. And Yoritomo beat Takano but lost to Hirano. The winner of the match will go on to face Seiji Ebisawa in the first semi final match of the night. While Takayuki Ariwa takes on the BLACKHEART’s captain Akuma Toyota.
Yuki Nomura and Goro Iijima will personally team together for the first time in many years. The two had a short partnership in both 2002 and 2005, but after all their hardships, they will be reuniting to take on the team of Rui Kuriyama and “Texas Outlaw” Jake Bishop of the BLACKHEARTS.
Natsuo Sakoda and Hiroshi Kuroki will take on each other in a match that’s been built to all tour, with the winner getting the next title shot against either Hayato Saigo or Naoki Daishi.
