[CRIMSON] 7/27/10 - BATLE ZONE 2010 ~ ZONE OF DESTINY

- Fresh Ryo Suzuki graduates Akio Kobayashi and Yukihiro Ohura debuted in the dark match against the SCA team of Toshiro Noguchi and Shuji Kawashima. Kobayashi impressed with his toughness and Ogura impressed with his agility in their losing effort.

- Ikuji Royama's affiliations have been made clear. Royama came to the ring against Takayuki Ariwa with a new theme song flanked by Bloody Gears. Royama, "liberated" from his boundaries, attacked Ariwa viciously throughout the battle. However, Ariwa's strength came through before planting Royama into the canvas with the Splash Mountain. Ariwa dismissed Royama saying he was better off with his ilk then with the STRONGEST CRIMSON ARMY...

- After three years of hardship, Akira Tomizaki finally has his moment in the sun. The KYOURUI 6 PWC Jr. Heavyweight Tag Team Champions barely recognized Tomizaki and Kazuya Endo as challengers, and could have won the match at any time. Yet they allowed the Bloody Gears team to remain in the match. As if saving all their energy, Tomizaki and Endo fought back suddenly. A Endo Spiral Blow into a CHOKE SLEEPER from Strong Tomizaki sealed their upset victory as Keoni Murata was forced to submit from the hold. Tomizaki and Endo threw a celebration in the ring followed with the fans at ringside in a display of absolute joy...

- Masakazu Fujimoto failed to improve to a winning record in his "REVIVE THE MONSTER FUJI!" series. Fujimoto battled Bloody Gears leader Makoto Saito in a hard hitting effort. Saito targeted Fujimoto's legs unmercifully throughout leading to the monster becoming weakened and slower. From there, Saito finished off Fujimoto with two Shiraku Blades. Fujimoto was distraught but admitted that those leg kicks "really hurt" so losing was okay...

- AVENIR held their final match as “First Class” AVENIR members. It was clearly treated as an opportunity for each man to show off and have fun as an “exhibition”. Takahashi scored the victory over Hiroshi Kuroki with the White Flash. Then, much to the appreciation of all 4,000+ in attendance, the four embraced and celebrated as a unit for the final time...

- Following their graduation match, the first class of AVENIR were rewarded with a graduation ceremony from Yuki Nomura himself. Amagawa, Takahashi, Kuroki & Kaisen Tiger were all given diploma's and a speech by Yuki Nomura praising the four for their growth as men and pro-wrestlers. The four attempted bravely to withhold their emotions, however, once Shinsuke Takahashi broke down the other three quickly followed. After their graduation, the festivities were interrupted as Akuma Toyota approached the four. Toyota viewed Tiger and Takahashi with eyes filled with contempt as he offered Amagawa and Kuroki spots within HEAVY WAR! Amagawa protested for his friends, however, Toyota refused to listen. Toyota refused to Takahashi as "Fujita's bastard boy", and Tiger as a "foreigner" thereby excluding them from HEAVY WAR participation. Amagawa and Kuroki admitted they were flattered, but that they would never turn their back on their friends and formally rejected Toyota's invitation! Instead Amagawa announced that the four would continue on as a group within the STRONGEST CRIMSON ARMY! Toyota was incensed by their decision, but departed flanked by HEAVY WAR without incident...

- As the situation calmed down, Yuki Nomura gave a call to any wrestler from Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON to join him and the second wave of AVENIR as the "First Class" watched on from the sidelines. Without hesitation, SHUJI KAWASHIMA vaulted over the top rope to join Yuki Nomura and Keiji Hirano. Kawashima appealed to Nomura for the second spot in AVENIR's second class. Nomura in turn queried Hirano for his thoughts. Hirano smugly announced that every leader needs a "subordinate" to follow him around. Kawashima took exception to Hirano's remark leading to the two shouting at each other in anger. Nomura pacified the two young men claiming the decision did not have to be made "today", but instead offered the two a singles match at a later date to settle their issue. Both readily agreed.

- Naoki Daishi received his opportunity to set his old friend Akahito Yamada straight as with Rui Kuriyama the HEAVY WAR duo challenged Mikio Tsuruya and Akahito Yamada for the C-1 Tag Team Championships. Daishi and Yamada battled ferociously throughout but no resolution was in sight. Kuriyama, despite giving his all, proved to be the weak link as Tsuruya spiked him with the Murder Carnival. Yamada taunted Daishi post-match claiming that as a heavyweight or junior, Daishi had always been keeping Yamada back from expressing himself, but now he was "free from the bonds of friendship" and a champion.

- KYOURUI 6's momentum continued to build, as Kenta Arakiki became the first outsider to ever hold the C-1 Junior-Heavyweight Championship. Arakiki's sharp attacks and heel tactics went toe to toe with the three time champion Hayato Saigo in a thrilling sprint. Arakiki brutalized Saigo with strikes, but Saigo fought back at every opportunity. Saigo's own style defeated him, as Saigo wiped out attempting a Phoenix Splash. Arakiki capitalized with knees leading into his Satsujinsha before finishing off a rising Saigo with the Hikitsuri for the undisputed clean fall. Arakiki praised Saigo for giving him the "shiny meaningless trinket" before DISCARDING the C-1 Junior-Heavyweight Championship! All hell broke loose as the C-1 Junior-Heavyweight Championship collided to the mat, as PREDATORS, Ikuji Royama, and others stormed the ring to confront Arakiki. Arakiki remained calm despite the army amassed against him, as he forced a ring-boy to carry the C-1 Junior-Heavyweight championship for him and left the ring...

- After over two years seeking retribution, Hiroyuki Takano has finally seized it...but not by his own merits. Takano and Akuma Toyota battled back and forth for the unified Openweight Championship and as always when Akuma Toyota is in a “big match”, the opponent; in this case Hiroyuki Takano, found himself on the defensive for most of the match. The unstoppable juggernaut of destruction known as Akuma Toyota barreled through Takano for most of the match. Takano's attempts at offense were often brushed aside or simply ignored. What Takano did have going for him, was constant interference from KYOURUI 6 as HEAVY WAR struggled to keep KYOURUI 6 from interfering as they pleased. At every opportunity, as K6 member dived into the ring, tripped Toyota, or simply distracted him allowing Takano to make his own comebacks. Nothing KYOURUI 6 or Takano blasted Toyota with would keep the monster from simply rising again much like a horror movie. Toyota began to march against Takano in the later stages of the match, blasting the KYOURUI 6 leader with all his signature moves for near falls. Takano appeared to be all but done for, when KYOURUI 6 played their final trump card. As they distracted HEAVY WAR and referee Hanzo Hijiyama, it would be Kenta Arakiki that finally dented the armor of Akuma Toyota. Using chair and a KNEE KICK, Arakiki BASHED Toyota's face in. Despite being all but knocked unconscious, Toyota still survived the ensuing pinfall attempt. It was clearly evident the damage Toyota had suffered, as Takano moved in for the kill. Takano Driver into a Moonsault Press was met when Toyota kicked out. Takano Axe Kick and Takano Flash but Toyota still remained. The Kubikari Driller directly onto Toyota's head but Toyota continued to fight. A second Kubikari Driller even more vertically aimed but the shoulder of Toyota escaped. With nothing left to fire, Takano began to desperately blast Toyota in the face with a variety of kicks but Toyota with a dazed appearance on his face, rose from the ashes once again to stand. Takano doubled over Toyota with a savate kick to the midsection, before hooking Toyota for a third Kubikari Driller. This time, Takano hooked Toyota in position then weeded Toyota's arm in between his own legs, while grasping both Toyota's leg and his wrist at the same time, Takano dead lifted Toyota in almost a package position, before SPIKING Toyota on the back of his head with the “Shin” Kubikari Driller! Takano collapsed on top of Toyota as the three count came down, giving Takano his much sought after singles victory over Akuma Toyota, and the IFS Openweight Championship!

- Takano's big victory was greeted by vociferous jeers from the audience in attendance. Takano did not care. Takano proclaimed himself as the “UNIFIED OPENWEIGHT CHAMPION” and that he was now the most prestigious singles champion in all of Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON. Claiming superiority over even the C-1 Heavyweight Championship...

- After almost eight years of constantly being placed against each other and at odds, the issue between Nobuyori Shimizu and Tenshin Komatsu has finally been settled. Albeit in an unconventional fashion. Even before the introductions, a wave of enthusiasm and interest few out like waves from the audience for the battle of the two home grown talents. Both Komatsu and Shimizu were treated favorably, however, Komatsu quickly turned the audience against him for cheap shoting Shimizu during a handshake at the match's onset. Komatsu struck a fast pace, attempting to remove Shimizu from conscious thought as quickly as possible. An errant Flying Komatsu Knee Kick allowed Shimizu to floor Komatsu with an elbow and slow the match down. Shimizu and Komatsu traded hold and counter hold while avoiding each other's largest attacks. Both men worked over a body part of the other. Komatsu unmercifully attacked Nobuyori Shimizu's historically weak shoulders while Shimizu sought to stop Komatsu's brutal striking game by targeting Komatsu's knees. With a riveted audience, both men methodically took their time to slowly wear down their biggest rival, neither man wanting to make a single mistake at any point. Thirty minutes elapsed with both men locked in this stalemate when the dam finally burst. Both men began to frantically attack each other with strikes resulting in the two spilling out of the ring and to the floor. Komatsu pulled out a new trick as he countered a Shimizu charge by throwing Shimizu into the post. Komatsu then sandwiched Shimizu's head against the post with a flying Komatsu Knee Kick! Shimizu was obviously hurt, allowing Komatsu to go for the pinfall. However, Shimizu kicked out. Yet Shimizu despite his bravado could do nothing as Komatsu set about savagely attacking Shimizu's head. Komatsu punted Shimizu directly in the face multiple times attempting to straight up knock Shimizu out cold. Yet even after all the abuse, Shimizu kept reaching his feet and kicking out of the ensuing pinfalls much to Komatsu's growing frustration. Realizing that brute force was not going to seal the victory for Komatsu, Komatsu changed gears as he suddenly locked Shimizu in the Iron Cross, the same hold that nearly ended Shimizu's career in the 2007 Power Source finals! Shimizu screamed in pure agony as Komatsu pulled back on Shimizu's shoulders and hyper extended his elbows for the entire world to see. Knowing Shimizu's historically injured arms, Hanzo Hijiyama began to act as if he was stopping the contest to save Shimizu from injury, however Shimizu's frantic pain filled cries telling Hijiyama to not stop the match gave the referee pause. Komatsu responded by applying more pressure on Shimizu's arms. Shimizu attempted to slowly butt scoot himself and Komatsu to the ropes, however Komatsu flatly ignored Shimizu's attempts with a repositioned leg. Shimizu's head began to drop slowly, and it appeared Shimizu had gone unconscious from the pain. Komatsu gave one last squeeze before releasing Shimizu to go for the pinfall...only to have Shimizu kick out at 2.9! Fifty Minutes elapsed rang over the PA system, as Komatsu pulled Shimizu back to his feet...only to have Shimizu fire off a sudden inside cradle! The Iwate fans counted along, but Komatsu kicked out at 2.9 to keep his aspirations alive! Komatsu threw a desperation kick aimed at Shimizu's head, however, Shimizu caught the leg and fired off a lightning fast dragon screw legwhip! Both men laid on the ground slowly recovering before both men, utterly exhausted, climbed to their feet and began to fire off strikes against each other. Komatsu's knees and kicks against Shimizu's elbow strikes. This time, Shimizu's strikes won out as Shimizu laid waste on Komatsu with elbow strikes, before finishing with a charging elbow! Shimizu covered, but Komatsu would be the one to refuse to fall as he kicked out at 2.9 himself! Five minutes remaining rang out from the PA system, as a beaten, battered, bruised, and exhausted Shimizu pulled not only himself but Tenshin Komatsu to their feet. Shimizu grasped Komatsu from behind. Komatsu responded with a half hearted resistence, but could do nothing as Shimizu lifted Komatsu and PLANTED him with the Tsuyosa German Suplex! Shimizu rolled through the hold instead of holding the bridge, bringing Komatsu back up before dropping him with a SECOND Tsuyosa German Suplex! Shimizu rolled through a SECOND time as two minutes rang out over the PA, dropping Komatsu on his head and neck with a perfect Tsuyosa German Suplex! Hanzo Hijiyama counted...but Komatsu escaped at 2.999!! One minute left rang, as Shimizu frantically pulled the unconscious Komatsu back up to his feet. With thirty seconds left, Shimizu lifted Komatsu and SPIKED HIM with the Thunder-Fire Power Bomb! Hanzo Hijiyama dramatically leaped into position to count the fall as the ten second count down began. With SEVEN SECONDS REMAINING,Hanzo Hijiyama counted to three, giving NOBUYORI SHIMIZU HIS SIXTH DEFENSE OF THE C-1 HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP! Having expected a time limit draw for virtually the entire battle, the Iwate Prefectural Gymnasium EXPLODED in cheers as Shimizu rolled to his back in exhaustion, but with enough left over to pump his arm out in the air to his theme song...

- With sweat pouring down his face and body, Shimizu accepted the title presentation and his trophy, using Toshiro Noguchi to hold onto his prizes for him. Before Shimizu could give his post-match speech, Tenshin Komatsu approached Shimizu...with a smile...Komatsu in breathless tones thanked Shimizu for giving him the best match of his career. And that after two POWER SOURCE tournament victories, it just “wasn't the time” for him to claim the C-1 Heavyweight Championship. Komatsu claimed that there were no hard feelings and that he would simply aim his directions elsewhere...Komatsu ended by telling Shimizu “Good Job, Mr. CRIMSON” before leaving. Shimizu barely had any energy left for his post-match speech, but began by thanking all the fans in attendance for coming to the show and supporting Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON continuously for eight years. Shimizu remarked that his title reign was now in it's ninth month and he felt just like how he did last October. That this is a dream. A dream that he never wishes to wake up from. Shimizu, as always, promised to do whatever it took to keep the dream going just a little longer and asked the Iwate audience to continue lending him their strength in the coming months.
