[CRIMSON] 1/10/09 @ Akita Terusa ~ C-1 FUSION LEAGUE 2009

Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON returned to Akita Terusa in the Akita Prefecture for two nights as part of the CRIMSON CONCERTO concept. While not a fully sold out event, over nine hundred fans gathered in Akita to watch the evening's action take place.

Comedy was on display in the opening match. The match was scheduled to be SLAYER from the TEXAS ROUGHRIDERS versus Ichiyo Tatsuko from Yankizoku in singles action...However; Tatsuko and BIG BOY Tomizaki had arranged a plan. Almost as soon as the bell rang to signal for the bell, the terrified Tatsuko gave a signal, and BIG BOY Tomizaki threw in a towel to end the match, and save Tatsuko from a mauling! SLAYER simply cocked his head in confusion as Tatsuko and Tomizaki celebrated Tatsuko's lack of death. However, President Yuki Nomura had to ruin things for the two weakest Yankizoku members, as he came to ringside and restarted the match, much to the protest of Tatsuko. Given a second chance, SLAYER mowed through Tatsuko like it was nothing, hitting him with the Zanzai Lariat before two minutes were up for the three count! SLAYER walked away, his job done, while Tatsuko was being tended to in his unconscious state by BIG BOY Tomizaki...

Due to two teams of AVENIR being in the C-1 FUSION LEAGUE, Kazuki Takagi found himself teaming with unaligned member Natsuo Sakoda against the team of Toshiro Noguchi and Keoni Murata in tag action. Despite not teaming with his group mates, the result was the same as Toshiro Noguchi blasted Takagi with the Thunder Hammer for the three count fall...

Yankizoku and STRONGEST faced off in the final non-tournament match of the night. Ryoma Inoue, Ikuji Royama, and Keiji Hirano took on Hayato Saigo, Millennium S.K., and Shuji Kawashima in a fast paced six man scramble. S.K. and Inoue had several exchanges during the match, with S.K. coming out on top in every single one much to Inoue's frustration, while Saigo and Royama tore into each other with furious exchanges where neither man came out on top. Despite their enormous strength, Saigo & S.K. had a handicap in young Shuji Kawashima, who proved to be just that as Ikuji Royama eventually isolated him and absolutely demolished the young man, finishing him off with the Sliding Shotei for the three count. Royama refused to appeal on the microphone, which Inoue took upon himself to in his stead. Inoue mocked both Saigo and S.K. before trying to grab Royama's arm and hold it up, however, Royama angrily yanked his arm away before screaming at Inoue that he didn't need him to "cheerlead" for him, before walking away in a huff. Inoue was quick to follow Royama, trying to plead his case...

The C-1 FUSION LEAGUE continued in the fourth match, in what was a smidge of a mismatch. STRONGEST's team of C-1 Heavyweight Champion Akuma Toyota and Nobuyori Shimizu took on the AVENIR team of PREDATORS; Hiroshi Kuroki and Kaisen Tiger. The two young juniors tried to set an incredibly fast pace early, but Shimizu was able to keep up with them. Toyota didn't even try. Instead, the C-1 Heavyweight Champion employed the strategy to act as the wall that the cars (Kuroku & Tiger in this instance) would crash into. In one moment, Toyota was able to virtually take both men out as they charged him with a vicious double lariat that forced both men to do flips. With Shimizu holding Tiger at bay, Toyota buried his arm in Kuroki's chest with a lariat, covering him for the ultra dominate three count fall, and the two points in the tournament.

Yankizoku's team of MIkio Tsuruya and BIG BOY Tomizaki took on LOVE's team of Shino Hiriyama and Kazuhiro Okamura in the second tournament match. LOVE made it two for two over Yankizoku in the tournament on this night, as they downed Tsuruya and Tomizaki. It wasn't easy, however, as Tsuruya decided he actually wanted to fight, and the match devolved into a fight from the opening bell, including weapons. However, Tomizaki was bested by Hiriyama's skills, and was put away by his recently renamed "Perfect" German Suplex for the three count.

Arguably Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON's most prominent teams clashed in the sixth match, and the third tournament match overall as Yankizoku's AT CLUB of Takayuki Ariwa and Hiroyuki Takano took on the unaligned OVERTHROW. The match was a perfect example of strength and speed versus technique, and OVERTHROW used their mastery of the fundamentals of pro-wrestling, along with Daishi's submission skills to keep their larger opponents at bay. However, the sheer explosiveness of Ariwa & Takano couldn't be contained forever, and despite the skill advantage, OVERTHROW found they were being overwhelmed near the end. Takano blasted Yamada with the Takano Flash as he was climbing the turnbuckle, causing Yamada to fall forward on the buckle. Ariwa grabbed Yamada, hoisted him up, and crushed him with a Splash Mountain for the three count fall!

The main event pitted AVENIR against the TEXAS ROUGHRIDERS as Yuki Nomura led Kenjiro Amagawa into battle against C-2 Openweight Champion "Texas Outlaw" Jake Bishop and Rui Kuriyama. As is the case with all TEXAS ROUGHRIDERS matches, it was clear who the strength of the match came from, as Rui Kuriyama could get virtually nothing going against the man who took him in under his wing when he debuted, Yuki Nomura, and even found himself having a hard time dealing with Kenjiro Amagawa. However, Jake Bishop would cause the tone of the match to shift dramatically, forcing Amagawa and Nomura onto the defensive. Near the end of the match, Kuriyama shifted gears from trying to be an "active" participant in the match, and instead became an annoying presence at ringside as he continually attacked Yuki Nomura, and kept him from getting back up on the apron. This forced Kenjiro Amagawa to go face to face against the awe inspiring power of the "Texas Outlaw" Jake Bishop. Amagawa put up a good fight, and even got a near fall on Bishop with a Backdrop to the shock of the crowd. However, it wouldn't last forever, as Bishop finally exploded into offense hitting an Enzuilariat that stunned Amagawa, and allowed Bishop to hit the Texan Bomber for the three count!
