Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON ~ 2/29/08 ~ CLASH IN OSAKA!

The Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON and Pro-Wrestling FURY joint show took place on Feb 29th at the Osaka Prefectural Gymnasium #2 marking Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON’s first venture into the home base of FURY, Osaka!

Takashi Otsuka, or otherwise known as ATSUKA, continued his trial series in the opening match of the show as he took on the Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON debuting Hiroshi Kuroki. Kuroki made a stir with his flash entrance with a lion’s headdress while running to the ring at full speed. In contrast, Otsuka was all business against Kuroki in straight black tights. The match was largely one sided, as Otsuka made Kuroki pay for his flashy intro by grounding him and dominating large sections of the match. Kuroki refused to go down without a fight, but was overwhelmed by Otsuka’s experience and skills. However, Otsuka’s overconfidence proved to be a problem, as he paused to taunt Kuroki before attempting to finish him off with the AC-Z, only to have Kuroki slide down from behind, and throw Otsuka into the turnbuckle with force, before sprinting after him with a kneel kick directly to the back of Otsuka’s head! With Otsuka stunned, Kuroki gained the only serious advantage he had all match, and quickly hit Otsuka several times in the head before springing up to the top rope. Kuroki then came down right onto Otsuka’s upperback with a double footstomp! Otsuka fell to his knees, but Kuroki landed on his feet and ran across the ring before once again leaping to the top rope! Otsuka pulled himself out of the turnbuckle but turned right around into a Kuroki missle kick that went almost halfway across the ring! Kuroki then jumped out of the ring and onto the apron before landing the PRISM on the recovering Otsuka to get the incredible flash upset! After the match, Otsuka admitted that he had been overconfident, but praised Kuroki’s courage and skill, and suggested that they have a return match someday!

The second match of the night was one that many thought would be a comedy classic as FURY’s leading sensei Etsuya Kawachi took on CRIMSON’s identity switcher Akira Tomizaki in singles competition. Tomizaki debuted a new character, that of “Fernando Tomiandro” and came out to overdrawn melodramatic music, a black mask that covered half of his face and a wooden sword that he swung around like a rapier. The comedy highlight of the match happened halfway through, as Tomizaki trapped Kawachi in a corner before he brandished his wooden sword, and then traced a “T” in Kawachi’s chest…and then celebrated. Kawachi responded by snatching the sword and whacking Tomizaki while calling him stupid. Despite the brevity of the match, Kawachi seemed to be intent on winning, which led him to cradle Tomizaki with the GTK for the victory.

The only CRIMSON on CRIMSON match happened in the third match of the night as MILLENNIUM STARS took on the team of Naoki Daishi, new C-1 Junior-Heavyweight Champion Akahito Yamada, and Keoni Murata in six men action. Despite the huge star power against them, MILLENNIUM STARS showed off why their one of the strongest Junior factions around as they managed to use strong teamwork against their opponents leading to S.K. spiking Daishi on his head with the Millennium Driver for the three count in a mild upset! S.K. then took a microphone, and said that he had been too preoccupied with his war with HEROICS, but that he felt slighted that he wasn’t considered a contender to Yamada’s title, and vowed that in 2008 he would reassume his position as the pre-eminent star in the sky of Pro-Wrestling…
Match four saw a unique match for Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON as three teams of three took on each other in a highly chaotic three way six man battle. From Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON was the representation of DARK SUMMIT in Goro Iijima, Izumo Yoritomo & Daisuke Yamazaki. Against them were the team of the STRONG RIDERS of Otsuya Kayusa, Kyoshima Yosuken, and Kenjiro Hujikawa. Against both of those teams was the UPRISER’Z team of Masodon Fukuda, Kyoto Okazaki, and RYUJI. This match had no form and focus, as all three teams went at each other with all the skill, fury, and passion that they had. Out of everyone in the match, Mastodon Fukuda got the highest reviews, as he put his power arsenal on full display, hurling people around the ring with great fury. At one point, Yoritomo and Fukuda engaged in a test of power but they were broken up before a winner could be decided…STRONG RIDERS were the first to fall, as Fukuda caught on to Hujikawa, and despite a valiant fight by Hujikawa, the sheer power of Fukuda was too much as he planted Hujikawa with the Mastodon Buster for the three count leaving UPRISER’Z and DARK SUMMIT against each other. The two teams warred, but it was Goro Iijima who pulled his team to victory as he showed off why he was once the strongest in CRIMSON as he leveled RYUJI with the Kinan High Kick for the pinfall victory to win the match.

Two of the strongest tag teams in Pro-Wrestling engaged in a highly anticipated battle between Pro-Wrestling FURY’s Sumo Brothers of Chikao Kessin and Masafuji Yoshida against the Demon Breed of Tenshin Komatsu and Makoto Saito. From the opening bell, little was on display in the way of technique between these two teams, as they simply tried to beat the other team in what basically amounted to a straight fight. Despite Komatsu and Saito’s sharp kicks and strikes, the sheer power of the opposition was a huge barrier they never seemed to fully overcome. In the end, it was Kessin’s sickening Back Blow that played the deciding roll, as he nailed Saito directly in the face with the blow, knocking the former C-1 Tag Champion out cold instantly for the three count victory. After the match, Kessin took a microphone for an appeal and was surprisingly harsh, stating that he had expected a stronger fight from the Demon Breed, but went to shake their hands anyway in appreciation for the match. Komatsu and Saito neither responded, nor shook hands, and simply left the ring without any further word, leaving Kessin and Yoshida standing in the ring awkwardly after their gesture of kindness…

Match six saw an event that many Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON fans had wanted to see for over two years now, and many loyal CRIMSON fans had made the trek to Osaka just to see the event, as for one night only, the legendary CRIMSON stable of HANGUN was revived! The appearance of “Black Ace” Hachiro Yakuta in a CRIMSON ring caused quite a stir, reviving many of the memories from the past for many fans. HANGUN entered together, with Halcon waving their trademark banner while “Get a Gun” played. Yakuta reverted to his old persona and milked the response for everything he was worth and played up his old attitude by sitting down on the bottom turnbuckle out of boredom. Their opponents also got a strong reaction as the OKINAWA SPEED STARS came out, all in their glory with their unique entrance. Saigo in particular seemed almost overjoyed to be teaming with his friends Ota and Shirai in such a manner. Before the introductions were finished, HANGUN charged across the ring and began to assault the SPEED STARS. Yakuta in particular showed off his mean streak by giving no quarter to his CHAOTIC team members Kotaro Ota and Fumihiko Shirai, and seemed to be almost another person as he unmercifully used every chance he could to attack them. However, things for HANGUN began to unravel quickly as Kaiju and Yakuta seemed to be off on the timing of many of their double teams, which allowed the OKINAWA SPEED STARS to make a comeback. Near the end of the match, Kaiju held Shirai for Yakuta, who bounced off the ropes and attempted a Kenka Kick…Only to have Shirai move and Yakuta to blast Kaiju in the face! Yakuta paused for a second…but then shrugged and moved on to attack Shirai. Apparently, Kaiju saw this shrug, and it sent him over the edge, as he sprung to his feet and Kaiju Lariat’d Yakuta with so much force that Yakuta went flying over the top rope! Kaiju followed him, and then gave Yakuta a THUNDEROUS Powerbomb onto the floor before leaving the ring area! In the ring, El Halcon had looked on dumb founded at this turn of events, but turned around right into a boot to the midsection followed by the Violent Spark from Ota! Shirai followed it up with the Okinawa Driller, and Saigo finished El Halcon off with a Brainbuster, covering for the crushing three count victory over HANGUN! In the ring, the OKINAWA SPEED STARS gave a microphone appeal, all agreeing that it had been a challenging match…Shirai expressed concern for Yakuta after Kaiju’s attack, but as he was being helped to the back, Yakuta waved backwards at them as if signaling that he was fine…Ota and Shirai then asked Saigo when he would come to FURY and wrestle with them. Saigo responded that he didn’t know, but said that he hoped it would be soon! All three swore to keep the OKINAWA SPEED STARS alive between the two promotions, but then Ota and Shirai mentioned Saigo’s upcoming C-1 Junior-Heavyweight title challenge, and gave him a vote of confidence, telling him to fight with his best and capture the championship! All three then left to a very big round of applause from the appreciative Osaka fans!

The main event had finally come, as the united force of Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON and Pro-Wrestling FURY took on the combined power of the BLACKHEARTS and KAZUMA WORLD in the final match of the night. With the forced drop out of Yuki Nomura, Akira Takayoshi stepped up to lead the team of combined forces and showed why he has become one of the top names in all of pro-wrestling. However, the team of FURY and CRIMSON faced some of the most powerful wrestlers in the world, and the match was not easy. Akuma Toyota and TAKU showed why they were two of the youngest and most brutal heels in wrestling as they assaulted TAKU’s old friend Go Taniguchi early in the match with a double chair assault, virtually turning the match into a handicapped match. Despite the disadvantage they were faced with, the combined FURY and CRIMSON forces continued to fight, even after Ariwa was knocked out of the match with a Fujita Lariat dropping the match down to five against three. Takayoshi, Shimizu, and Noguchi all rallied and began to fight back with everything they had. Keiji Hirano was blasted by a running elbow by Shimizu, and then dropped on his head with a release tiger suplex from Takayoshi to even the odds somewhat. In a dramatic moment, Go Taniguchi rose from the dead and tackled TAKU out of the ring to completely even the battle in the ring to three on three. N.G.I. + Takayoshi took on the combined team of Akamatsu, Fujita & Toyota in a significant struggle. Takayoshi tied up with his former mentor Fujita and pulled him out of the ring, while Shimizu shockingly leveled Akamatsu with a rolling elbow to create a one on one situation between Noguchi and Toyota! Noguchi bounced off the ropes looking for his Tokkan, but Toyota beat him to the punch with a THUNDEROUS lariat! Toyota quickly picked up Noguchi and then planted him with the Akuma Ichimonji for the abrupt pinfall after the huge struggle to the shock of the fans.

After the match, shockingly, Fujita and Akamatsu pulled their troops back and left without incident. The combined FURY and CRIMSON forces regrouped in the ring, and all five gathered microphones. Noguchi spoke first, and apologized for being weak in the closing sections of the match, but both Shimizu and Takayoshi told Noguchi that he had fought well, but that Toyota had been very strong…Go spoke next, saying that the tactics the BLACKHEARTS and KAZUMA WORLD had used angered him, but in the end they weren’t able to make them pay for their tactics…Ariwa had a bright outlook, however, as he said that even though he hadn’t played a huge factor the very fact that he had been in the match was a worthwhile learning experience…Shimizu and Takayoshi had a heart to heart talk, going back and forth about their respective struggles, but in the end, both young warriors agreed that while they were in separate worlds, their fight would continue until they were victorious in the end to give the first show from Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON a happy send off!
