Shuji Kawashima is a gifted young athlete personally scouted and trained by Ryo Suzuki himself. A high school track and field athlete, Kawashima scored fantastic marks on the fifty meter dash and looked perched for a successful athletic career until Kawashima suddenly refused to go to college for unspecified reasons. Seeing an opportunity to train a new star, Ryo Suzuki suddenly gave the young man a new choice: To become a Professional Wrestler! Kawashima agreed, and since then has been the prime trainee of Suzuki's dojo. Kawashima took to wrestling slowly, but Suzuki has held him back from making his professional debut until now! Both Suzuki and Kawashima think he is ready, but only time will tell if Kawashima's bulked up body will retain it's athletic prowess..

After several years of middling success, Kawashima finally made his first move as a Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON roster member, as Kawashima volunteered to join AVENIR's second class with Keiji Hirano.
