Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON's May tradition kicked off with a strong event at the Miyako City Gymnasium! Despite a scant few days of full promotional push, over one thousand three hundred loyal CRIMSON followers gathered. Before the opening bell, all sixteen wrestlers entered the ring one by one, and each gave a short speech. Tetsuhisa NAKAI, the returning winner of last year from Pro-Wrestling FURY displayed his new found attitude, as he disdainfully demanding to know if anyone would have the “guts” to stop him this year.
Nearly every wrestler in the tournament's ire was raised, but none more than Akuma Toyota! Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON's ace pointed out that he had beaten NAKAI to retain the C-1 Heavyweight Championship last year, and this year would keep NAKAI from winning the tournament again! However, this in turn rose Makoto Saito's ire, as the stoic fighter informed Toyota that he would have to get past him later tonight! In the end, all sixteen men began arguing, and nearly coming to blows before Yuki Nomura hurridly ushered them out of the ring...
The non-tournament action kicked off with Strong Tomizaki from Bloody Gears facing Akahito Yamada from KYOURUI 6. Yamada obviously felt little threat by Tomizaki, which left Yamada open for a snap Samson Clutch for a near fall, and a follow up Crossface of his own on Yamada! After surviving both, Yamada's anger boiled over as he threw Hanzo Hijiyama across the ring, and then used his rope to choke Tomizaki unconscious for the disqualification...
Bloody Gear's faced AVENIR in the second match, as Hiroshi Kuroki used his speed to avoid Kazuya Endo's submissions and blows, before securing the PRISM for the three count.
Kuroki's other half, Kaisen Tiger faced KYOURUI 6's Ryoma Inoue. Tomiko Inoue at ringside attempted to interfere on behalf of her husband, but found the masked wrestler too cunning to catch. Kaisen Tiger spiked Inoue on his head with a Tiger Suplex Hold for the three count.
The final non-tournament battle saw the two men who will face off for the C-1 Junior-Heavyweight Championship unite to take on KYOURUI 6, as Hayato Saigo and Ikuji Royama teamed to best PWC Jr. Heavyweight Tag Champions PHOENIX and Keoni Murata. Royama proving his strength as a top junior by blasting Keoni Murata with the Sliding Shotei for the finish.
The POWER SOURCE tournament kicked off with AVENIR and KYOURUI 6 once again at odds. One half of the C-1 Tag Team Champions Shinsuke Takahashi taking on one half of “VANGUARD” Mikio Tsuruya! The two rivals went right for each other, Tsuruya flirting with being disqualified several times for weapons usage, but relaxed rules from Hanzo Hijiyama kept that from happening. Takahashi's technique took over late in the match, but a chair shot from Takano at ringside ended that. With Takahashi stunned, Tsuruya landed the Murder Carnival to advance to the semi finals of Block A!
Akuma Toyota, leader of HEAVY WAR and Makoto Saito, leader of Bloody Gears faced off in the final match of the night to see who advances to the semi finals. Toyota attempted to smash Saito at every opportunity, but Saito used his cunning striking to dodge and do damage to Toyota. The last few minutes of the match were particularly give-and-take, as both men used most of their top moves. Toyota survived the Shiraku Blade, but Saito could not survive a medley of Lariats, followed by two Akuma Ichimonji's for the three count in a twenty minute plus war! Akuma Toyota declared this as “one traitor” down, and would march through the tournament back to his throne at the top of Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON!
