[Late CRIMSON] 4/10/10 ~ GOLDEN CHANCE~2DAY Night Two

Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON's fourth annual GOLDEN CHANCE~2DAY finished up with an exciting final eight men in the tournament. A serious traffic accident closed travel to and from Korakuen Hall, significantly reducing the attendance for the event...

The final eight kicked off with Kotaro Ota from Pro-Wrestling FURY defeating Hiroshi Kuroki from AVENIR. The two tore the house down with a six minute sprint with Kuroki surviving the Violent Spark and Ota surviving the PRISM. Ota secured the win with a flash Michelada, trapping Kuroki in the center of the ring for the submission.

FURY and CRIMSON battled again in the second bout, as KYOURUI 6's Keoni Murata with ample help from his stable mates bested Etsuya Kawachi. KYOURUI 6 marred the entire match, but the final moments were outrageous. While Ryoma Inoue distracted the referee, Tomiko Inoue slipped in the ring to give Kawachi a low blow...which Murata then followed up with a surf board attack to set up his BLUE HAWAII.

The two top masked wrestlers of CRIMSON battled, as PHOENIX from KYOURUI 6 and AVENIR's Kaisen Tiger did battle. Once again, KYOURUI 6 ran rampant, using superior numbers to frustrate AVENIR at ring side. PHOENIX would win the match on his own, dodging Tiger's Tsuki Hikari, and following up with the Dark Tides for the three count.

The final first round battle saw CRIMSON and FURY face off once again. Saigo came into the match with his shoulder and neck heavily taped from the assault by KYOURUI 6. His opponent, Seiji Sasaki attacked before the bell rang, attempting to overwhelm Saigo with offense. Sasaki made a costly error when he pissed the SS Star Press, allowing Saigo to come backwith two desperation Brainbusters and a Phoenix Splash for the victory. Saigo praised Sasaki's skills, and invited him to participate in next year's tournament...

In non-tournament action, Masakazu Fujimoto's “REVIVE THE MONSTER FUJI!” series continued, this time against Takayuki Ariwa. Fujimoto ran into a very angry Ariwa, who bombarded Fujimoto with heavy offense, before putting the monster down with a medley of Angelos for the victory. Ariwa promised total victory in the POWER SOURCE this year, while Fujimoto appeared bewildered...

The GOLDEN CHANCE tournament continued, with Kotaro Ota facing off against Keoni Murata. Despite aid from both Kawachi and Sasaki, KYOURUI 6 continued to run rampant throughout, doing everything in their power to aid Murata...Murata would prove his own undoing, as he attempted to use the surfboard to whack Ota, only to have Ota dodge, and Murata bounce the board off the top rope and into his own head...With Murata stunned, Ota capitalized with the Satsugai for the victory. Post-match, Ota gave a love call to Saigo to meet in the finals...

Hated rivals Hayato Saigo and PHOENIX were next up, with a surprising twist. PHOENIX requested KYOURUI 6 “stand down” and return to the back, stating that he would defeat “the man who stole his future” by hand...PHOENIX's charity only extended so far as PHOENIX attacked viciously at the bell. PHOENIX targeted Saigo's injuries throughout, but Saigo fought back courageously. After a medley of big maneuvers, Saigo spiked PHOENIX after a lengthy battle on the top with a Nadare-shiki style Brainbuster for the finish. With this, the battle of the Okinawa Speed Stars was set!

In non-tournament six man action, HEAVY WAR led by Akuma Toyota bested the STRONGEST CRIMSON ARMY led by Tenshin Komatsu. A back and forth battle, Akuma Toyota's overwhelming power proved the deciding factor, as Toyota beheaded C-1 Junior-Heavyweight Champion Ikuji Royama with a lariat. Akuma declared himself the “True Contender” to Nobuyori Shimizu, and stated that he would “easily” win the POWER SOURCE. Even Toyota's own teammates rejected this idea, with each (of the eligible wrestlers) in turn stated their own intentions to win the POWER SOURCE this year!

Hayato Saigo and Kotaro Ota, good friends, were the only two men left in the tournament for a shot at the C-1 Junior-Heavyweight Championship. The two friends shook hands...and were immediately attacked from behind by KYOURUI 6! The bell rang frantically, signaling a no contest just thirty seconds in! Akahito Yamada took a microphone from ringside and used the device to mock both Saigo and Ota. Yamada reminded Saigo that he had “swore” that Saigo wouldn't win the tournament, but now that no one would!

Yamada's laughter and KYOURUI 6's attack dissipated when a combined force of CRIMSON and FURY stormed the ring, all of the junior-heavyweight's with a few exceptions uniting to chase the terrorists, KYOURUI 6 out of the ring! After several minutes of tending to Ota and Saigo, Yuki Nomura approached both men. Upon confirmation, Nomura ordered that both had agreed to continue, and the GOLDEN CHANCE~2DAY would have a winner with the FURY and CRIMSON wrestlers as lumberjacks!

Saigo and Ota, despite their friendship attacked each other with abandon. Knowing time was short both men lobbed bombs from the get-go. Saigo survived the Violent Spark and the Satsugai (By rolling into the ropes), and dodged Ota's Michelada twice. Ota survived Saigo's brainbuster, a Phoenix Splash, the Matsukasa, and even a springboard reverse Frankensteiner from the top rope. Ota never once targeted Saigo's injuries in a show of friendship. Saigo countered the Michelada by spearing Ota into a turnbuckle, followed by a Brainbuster and a Phoenix Splash to put down his friend for the GOLDEN CHANCE crown!

Saigo and Ota were both presented with trophies to go with the applause and admiration of both the Korakuen fans and the wrestlers. Saigo and Ota reaffirmed their friendship, and promised to have another battle one day seeing how this one could have gone either way...Saigo promised Ota that he would make history and become the only man to ever win the C-1 Junior-Heavyweight Championship for the third time!

Only the C-1 Heavyweight Championship battle between challenger Kenjiro Amagawa and Champion Nobuyori Shimizu remained. The Korakuen Hall audience was split in their support, but leaned towards Shimizu. Amagawa uses his superior size and technical abilities from the very onset of the match to confound Shimizu. But Shimizu “countered” with his never ending endurance. Amagawa appeared to get tired and desperate, as Shimizu continually survived everything Amagwa threw in his direction. As the match wore on, Shimizu began to assume his dominace, having “rope-a-doped” Amagawa through the early portions. Shimizu leveled Amagawa with all of his signature moves, but Amagawa proved his own ability by surviving. In the end, two rolling Tsuyosa German Suplexes proved to be all they route, giving Shimizu the victory, and tying him as the second most successful C-1 Heavyweight Champion of all time!

After his title presentation, Nobuyori Shimizu began to speak on how much this victory meant to him, when he was suddenly interrupted by Akuma Toyota! Toyota demanded that Shimizu name him as the #1 contender, claiming that he had already “earned” it...Shimizu reminded Toyota that just last month, he had pinned Toyota. However, Toyota claimed the three-way victory “didn't count” and demanded a straight singles match. As Shimizu began to consider Toyota's request, attention in the crowd turned to the entrance way...

Both Toyota and Shimizu turned, as in a well groomed suit, PRO-WRESTLING FURY'S AKIRA TAKAYOSHI STOOD IN THE AISLE! The loyal CRIMSON fans who had braved the situation to attend roared as Takayoshi climbed into the ring. Takayoshi approached Shimizu, and politely requested Shimizu's microphone. Takayoshi praised Shimizu as a strong champion, and cited his own somewhat under-sized stature as a measure of “understanding” Shimizu. The NEW FORCE leader admitted that he had always wondered what it would be like to wrestle Shimizu due to their similarities...Takayoshi then CHALLENGED Nobuyori Shimizu to face him for the C-1 Heavyweight Championship!

Akuma Toyota exploded with rage, screaming loud enough to be heard of how Takayoshi was an “outsider” and not “worthy” of challenging for the title...Shimizu ignored Toyota. Shimizu responded of his own desire to face Takayoshi in the future, before the two stars of two promotions clasp hands, signalling a future title match! Akuma Toyota had procured his own microphone by this point. Toyota ranted on how much of an outrage it was for a FURY wrestler to insult him in such a manner...Toyota vowed to respond with such “outrage” at a later date before storming off...

With Akuma Toyota out of the way, Shimizu asked Takayoshi if he had a date in mind for their title match, but Takayoshi simply smiled, saying “in the future”...Nobuyori Shimizu thanked the fans that had attended despite the circumstances, adding that from now on, he would do everything in his power to be an ace Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON fans could be proud of!
