Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON's May tradition came to a close in Miyako, at the Miyako City Gymnasium in front of a near sellout crowd of passionate fans. Either 2007 POWER SOURCE winner Tenshin Komatsu or POWER SOURCE 2009 winner Tetsuhisa NAKAI from Pro-Wrestling FURY would become only the second man ever to win the POWER SOURCE tournament!
In the opening match, the TEXAS ROUGHRIDERS collided as Rui Kuriyama battled “Texas Outlaw” Jake Bishop. The two friendly power fighters held nothing back against each other. In the end, Kuriyama proved his progress by blasting Bishop as he charged in for the Texan Bomber with a jumping high kick for the three count! Kuriyama once again appealed for his friend to join him in HEAVY WAR. However, Bishop replied that he felt the need to travel the world and declined Kuriyama's offer...
KYOURUI 6 struck once again in two back to back matches! In match number two, Akahito Yamada and Ryoma Inoue scored a shock upset over C-1 Tag Team Champions TakaGawa but not without constant interference from the other four KYOURUI 6 members. Akahito Yamada ended the battle by spiking Takahashi on his head with a Straight Jacket Suplex Hold for the fall...
Yamada and Inoue returned the favor in the next match, as the two aided Hiroyuki Takano and Mikio Tsuruya over C-1 Heavyweight Champion Nobuyori Shimizu and Shuji Kawashima. Tsuruya scoring the victory with the Akuji Backdrop Driver. Takano admitted that KYOURUI 6 had failed in two back to back tournaments, but were now setting their eyes back on the C-1 Tag Team Championships! TakaGawa appeared at ringside, as Takano formally challenged the champions on behalf of Mikio Tsuruya and Akahito Yamada! TakaGawa readily accepted, setting up a future tag championship battle!
HEAVY WAR scored yet another victory coming off their crushing FURY appearance on the 16th. Once again, Toyota led his troops to victory over their enemies, this time over Bloody Gears as Toyota bested Strong Tomizaki with a lariat. Akuma Toyota reiterated his claim of “revenge” against Pro-Wrestling FURY for Takayoshi's title challenge, NAKAI's actions, and Fukuda's attitude. Toyota claimed he would “prove” his vision of Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON by crushing Fukuda to claim the F-MAX Heavyweight Championship on 5/31 at DREAM+INFINITY V!
Kouhai and Sempai once again collided in a special singles match. STRONGEST CRIMSON ARMY and former Neo Generation Idealist members Takayuki Ariwa and Toshiro Noguchi continued their long standing rivalry. Instead of burning anger and a violent brawl, the two engaged each other in a pure athletic contest pitting Noguchi's intelligence against Ariwa's brute physical power. Ariwa tried multiple times throughout the battle to land his Splash Mountain, only to be countered at every opportunity. Yet Noguchi was no better off, as Ariwa simply absorbed the Thunder Hammer every time...In the end, Ariwa's tank-like body won out, as he wore Noguchi off enough to finally land the Splash Mountain to score an all-important victory over his former mentor!
The first of three straight championship battles kicked off with the PWC Jr. Heavyweight Tag Championships in a direct rematch of the two team's March 2nd COMPLETIONxDESTINATION battle. KYOURUI 6's PHOENIX and Keoni Murata aimed to make their first defense of the championships against former champions PREDATORS of Hiroshi Kuroki and Kaisen Tiger of AVENIR. After the hijinx earlier in the night, and KYOURUI 6's recent track record, President Yuki Nomura banned the other four members of KYOURUI 6 from ringside before the match began, much to the dissatisfaction of the faction...
With no outside help possible, PHOENIX and Keoni Murata were forced to battle Kuroki and Kaisen Tiger outright. This proved to be a dangerous proposition, as Murata appeared beaten within minutes with Tiger's Bullet Wrath, only to have PHOENIX bail his older partner out. The KYOURUI 6 team were able to use tag team tactics to control much of the match from there out, but as always, PREDATORS were impossible to contain forever, as the two firey AVENIR members made their heroic comeback. Pure luck is all that saved KYOURUI 6. Kaisen Tiger had PHOENIX all but beaten, but slipped when attempting the Tsuki Hikari. Tiger fell short of PHOENIX, allowing PHOENIX to quickly land the Resurrection followed by the Dark Tides for the sudden victory! As the champions fled, Tiger expressed remorse for his accident, but was quickly forgiven by Kuroki...
In February 2009, Hayato Saigo defended the C-1 Junior-Heavyweight Championship over the red hot Ikuji Royama. Royama responded by winning GOLDEN CHANCE in April 2009. On October 13th 2009, Ikuji Royama returned the favor by defeating Hayato Saigo retain his C-1 Junior-Heavyweight Championship. Since then, Royama has racked up four more defenses of the championship while Hayato Saigo won the GOLDEN CHANCE in April 2009. Now these two will collide to decide who the strongest Junior-Heavyweight in Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON is!
Saigo and Royama tore into each other, astounding the crowd with acrobatic moves, and brutal simplicity at the very same time. Saigo spent most of the match being grounded by Royama, but at the same time dodging Royama's kill blows at every opportunity. Royama's game plan consisted of attacking Saigo's injured shoulders and neck from the GOLDEN CHANCE tournament in much the same fashion Royama defeated Millennium S.K. In his last defense. However, Saigo's neck injuries were far less severe allowing the Junior “ace” to fight back. Both men threw caution to the wind at the last stage of the match knowing that nothing short of a crushing blow would defeat the other. Royama at one point uncharacteristically went to the air with a beautiful tope suicida to astound the Miyako audience! Every move of both men were thrown at the other, but not even the Sliding Shotei could keep Saigo down. Saigo proved his superiority and complete power as a Junior as he spiked Royama with not just one Brainbuster, but THREE in a row before climbing to the top and flying off with a MOONSAULT DOUBLE FOOTSTOMP to Royama's sternum! Saigo covered, claiming his historic third reign!
Saigo and Royama exchanged a tense moment post-match, but Royama awarded Saigo with the C-1 Junior-Heavyweight Championship before leaving the ring without incident...Saigo appeared emotional to have made CRIMSON history, and promised to raise the value of the C-1 Junior-Heavyweight Championship even higher this time much to the approval of the loyal CRIMSON audience!
Nothing stood between two men and destiny any longer. Pro-Wrestling FURY and Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON would collide once more in the POWER SOURCE finals. Tenshin Komatsu has always flirted with destiny. Once considered the future ace of Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON, jealousy had allowed Komatsu to waiver from his path. On the flipside, Tetsuhisa NAKAI's second run in Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON rests solely on the concept of revenge. NAKAI's run to the C-1 Heavyweight Championship was ruined the year prior. Now, with a change of heart and friends, NAKAI aims to prove once and for all his superiority over Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON.
A “big match atmosphere” flew out from the building as each man was introduced. NAKAI was flanked by his allies from the now named RAGNAROK while Komatsu opted to come to the ring alone clearly intended to win the POWER SOURCE without aid. The early portion of the match saw Komatsu have difficulty dealing with NAKAI's prestigious strength advantage. Every attack Komatsu attempted, NAKAI simply threw Komatsu away as if the “Iron Prince” wasn't at his level. And if Komatsu made any improvement whatsoever, RAGNAROK constantly interfered to ruin Komatsu's chances at gaining momentum. However, despite NAKAI's brutal power Komatsu refused to go down much to NAKAI's immense frustration as Komatsu even survived NAKAI's Devil Eruption. After several minutes of a beating, Komatsu began to make a comeback finally piercing NAKAI's army with knee kicks. Yet it was at this moment that RAGNAROK struck. NAKAI “accidentally” back elbowed referee Hanzo Hijiyama, knocking the former pro-wrestler out cold. Immediately RAGNAROK stormed the ring attacking Komatsu from every angle! Surprisingly, Komatsu's savior would not come from the STRONGEST CRIMSON ARMY, or CRIMSON at all, as NORIHIRO AKASHI FROM PRO-WRESTLING FURY STORMED THE RING! Akashi began WILDLY attacking all the members of RAGNAROK as Komatsu recovered and assisted the young power fighter in driving RAGNAROK from the ring! RAGNAROK fled to the back as Akashi followed in pursuit leaving only Tenshin Komatsu and Tetsuhisa NAKAI, this time for real! Komatsu and NAKAI immediately engaged in the final battle, as NAKAI's lariats would send Komatsu stumbling into the ropes but Komatsu would fly back at NAKAI with a knee kick! After several such exchanged, neither man held left in the reserve. NAKAI attempted to hit the MAX BULLET on Komatsu, but Komatsu floated out of the move, and swept NAKAI's legs. As NAKAI landed in a sitting position, Komatsu flew off the ropes with a Sliding Knee Kick! Komatsu covered, but NAKAI himself proved his strength by kicking out! Komatsu followed it up with the Shikaeshi but AGAIN NAKAI refused to stay down! Komatsu, feeling the power coursing through him, stomped his foot in time with the audience's clapping before charging off both ropes for a Komatsu Knee Kick...Only to be BEHEADED by a NAKAI lariat! NAKAI collapsed on Komatsu but Komatsu survived again! NAKAI followed it up with a second Devil Eruption, but once again Komatsu refused to give in! Exhausted, NAKAI rested on the middle rope as he waited for Komatsu to stand, before charging for another lariat...only to eat a flying Komatsu Knee Kick to the face! NAKAI collapsed to his knees and Komatsu followed it up with a SECOND Knee to the face! Komatsu collapsed in exhaustion, only to have his face contorted in shock as NAKAI roared in defiance as he pulled to his feet despite Komatsu's best blows! Komatsu charged when NAKAI reached his feet with a THIRD knee strike to the face! Komatsu immediately grabbed the falling NAKAI's head before launching a volley of Knee Kicks to NAKAI's face. Komatsu released his grip and NAKAI collapsed to the canvas. However, before Komatsu could capitalize NAKAI began to rise from the canvas once more. NAKAI could barely reach a sitting position as an exhausted Komatsu approached NAKAI. With the Miyako audience chanting Komatsu's name, Komatsu grabbed the back of NAKAI's head in a thai plum clinch. Komatsu reared his leg back before pulling NAKAI's face towards his knee as it CRASHED into NAKAI's face with a sickening thud! NAKAI snapped back as if he had been shot to the canvas. Komatsu collapsed on top of NAKAI's body with nothing left to give. Hanzo Hijiyama counted, and registered Tenshin Komatsu's SECOND POWER SOURCE tournament victory!
Chants of Komatsu rang out from all 1,500 plus fans in the audience. Only Shuji Kawashima rushed to the ring to check on Komatsu and ice down his body. NAKAI came to, and attempted to get back into the ring but was stopped by President Yuki Nomura who “escorted” NAKAI from ringside. Komatsu was awarded with the POWER SOURCE trophy, and 1,000,000 in yen personally provided by Kazushi Mimura. Komatsu opened up with a joke, saying that perhaps he should be “Mr. POWER SOURCE” from now on, refering his finalist status in 2005, and his two tournament victories. However, Komatsu's victory speech was cut off as Hiroyuki Takano appeared at ringside. The KYOURUI 6 number one accused Komatsu of being a “fake” and that he hadn't beaten him “fair”, referencing their controversial match...
Komatsu naturally replied asking since when did Takano care about being “fair”. Takano brushed Komatsu's insult aside, before claiming that Komatsu wasn't the rightful POWER SOURCE champion, and that the trophy should belong to him! As if on cue, Komatsu was swarmed from behind by the rest of KYOURUI 6 triggering a six on one attack! As Tsuruya and Yamada held Komatsu, Takano claimed Komatsu's trophy and appeared prepared to destroy it when a figure suddenly FLEW into the ring and blindsided Takano with a kenka kick! KYOURUI 6 quickly fled the ring in shock as the man stood in front of Komatsu revealing himself as MAKOTO SAITO! And in Saito's right hand was an old familiar red headband...
Komatsu looked up at Saito with a look of bewilderment and confusion. Saito as usual appeared stoic. However Saito armed himself with a microphone. For the first time since their hatred filled battle at DUE TIME, the two former best friends locked eyes. Saito softly stated that he had been waiting for Komatsu to “return” since returning to CRIMSON in May of last year, and that tonight Komatsu finally returned to the man he considered his best friend in life. With that, Saito dropped Komatsu's old red headband in front of Komatsu adding that he had been keeping it for today. Komatsu clinched the headband in his hand while fighting back tears as he climbed to his feet. Once he did, arguably the greatest tag team in CRIMSON history embraced once again as equals.
