PWC Jr. Heavyweight Tag Champions, PREDATORS shocked everyone by winning the 2009 FUSION J-LEAGUE, defeating OVERTHROW in the finals! In the first tournament matches, OVERTHROW bested the NEW LEGEND team of Ikuji Royama & Tanuki Gao, when Daishi spiked C-1 Junior-Heavyweight Champion Royama with a Northern Lights Bomb. In the other semi final, PREDATORS passed the OKINAWA SPEED STARS, as Kuroki scored the victory over Pro-Wrestling FURY's Fumihiko Shirai with the PRISM. In the finals, the two teams went toe to toe, but the speed and youth of PREDATORS won out, as Kaisen Tiger dropped his inverted 450 splash, Tsuki Hikari for the victory! OVERTHROW appealed for a rematch, set for Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON's anniversary on the 13th!
Tenshin Komatsu scored a decisive victory over Makoto Saito in the second of their singles battles, this time in a cage with no means of victory beyond knock out or submission. They traded brutal shots throughout, with many fans disgusted by the brutality on display. In the end, a series of leaping knees and a dynamic right hand sealed the Knock Out for Komatsu, evening their series at 1-1!
After eight months as champions, the reign of the AT CLUB came to any end, as AVENIR's Kenjiro Amagawa and Shinsuke Takahashi claimed the championships in their second attempt! The match was fast paced with an unending series of moves near the end of the bout. Kenjiro Amagawa's day finally came, as Amagawa debuted his new Backdrop variation, a head and leg trapped Backdrop named the Burning Cataclysm on Hiroyuki Takano to become the 10th champions!
Kazuki Takagi gave a good account for himself, but ultimately failed in his quest to "dethrone" Mikio Tsuruya and his kidnapped fictional championship the T-1 Heavyweight Championship. Tsuruya survived Takagi's surprising fight and sealed the victory with his Murder Carnival. Tsuruya's victory brought out President Yuki Nomura. Nomura finally revealed why he had allowed this match to take place, given that Tsuruya had hand picked his own opponent as Nomura announced that Akuma Toyota's injuries were more severe then had been diagnosed, and announced that Toyota would be taking a sabbatical from wrestling to heal his injuries! As a result, Nomura announced that Akuma Toyota had vacated the C-1 Heavyweight Championship effective immediately! Mikio Tsuruya demanded to be announced as the new champion given his possession of the championship, but Nomura gave Tsuruya no such satisfaction. Instead, Nomura revealed that on October 13th, the Anniversary of Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON, in Miyako, at the 1000 Tokuji Gymnasium, a ONE NIGHT TOURNAMENT WILL BE HELD! Tsuruya threatened to withhold his kidnapped championship, but Nomura pacified Tsuruya by offering him a BYE into the semi finals! With that offered, Tsuruya finally relinquished the "T-1" Heavyweight Championship...With the championship finally in his hands again; Nomura announced the match ups for the tournament! Nobuyori Shimizu vs. Tenshin Komatsu, Makoto Saito vs. Takayuki Ariwa, and Hiroyuki Takano vs. Toshiro Noguchi!
