Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON's historic BATTLE ZONE '09 originated from the Sendai City Gymnasium in Miyagi, as over six thousand fans gathered for the event. The night opened up with a short brawl between former TEXAS ROUGHRIDERS members "Texas Outlaw" Jake Bishop and SLAYER. The two behemoths beat on each other for several minutes, before their fight spilled out of the ring resulting in a double count out. The fight did not end there, as the two spilled to the backstage area. Bishop and SLAYER would re-emerge four matches later, still heavily fighting during the intermission before SLAYER dropped Bishop with the Zanzai Lariat.
Kenjiro Amagawa had his chance to prove to Masakazu Fujimoto wrong in that he did in fact belong in the title match for Fujimoto's C-2 Openweight Championship. Amagawa tackled Fujimoto intelligently, attacking the large man's legs to weaken him and set up Fujimoto for the Figure-Four Leglock. Later in the match, Amagawa almost forced Fujimoto to submit with the Figure-Four, but Fujimoto used pure courage to survive the hold. Amagawa's fight hit the brick wall of Fujimoto's power, as Fujimoto brutally fought back with clubbing blows and intense power. After two MONSTER! Rush attacks, Amagawa had little left, leading to Fujimoto spiking him with the Mt. Fujimoto Bomb for the three count. Instead of congratulating Amagawa on his fight, Fujimoto coldly informed Amagawa that he had "proven" that Amagawa was not in his league much to the dismay of the young man...
In the first heat up skirmish between PREDATORS and OSAKA WILD STYLE, the Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON team of PREDATORS came up short. Kuroki and Kaisen Tiger, along with Naoki Daishi and Akahito Yamada faced off against four of the top juniors from Pro-Wrestling FURY, F-MAX Jr. Heavyweight Champion Shin Kaiju, Kyoto Okazaki, and the PWC Jr. Tag Team Champions of Manabu Tsuji and RYUJI, OSAKA WILD STYLE. The UPRISER'Z team ran roughshod early, using various heel tactics and double, triple, and quadruple double team moves. However, The CRIMSON team led by Naoki Daishi made a comeback. Yet it wasn't enough, as Tsuji splattered Hiroshi Kuroki with the Guts Coaster for the three count to prove OSAKA WILD STYLE's strength as a team.
The four units of Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON squared off in a four way six man elimination bout. Before the match began, Yuki Nomura came to the ring personally to introduce the newest member of AVENIR, the mysterious X. The X was unsurprisingly the man they had attempted to recruit who had a change of heart in recent months--Yankizoku member Keiji Hirano! This left Yankizoku in a quandary, as they had listed Hirano in the match. However, Ryoma Inoue displayed his cool intelligence as he announced he had "predicted" this outcome, and had BIG BOY Tomizaki on standby as a replacement...The other news item was PHOENIX, the mysterious masked man of LOVE who was a house of fire in the early stages of the match, hitting everything that moves at incredible speeds. To the shock of the Miyagi fans, PHOENIX absolutely destroyed Hayato Saigo, dispatching the Junior Ace with shocking precision, ending with the "OverStar", PHOENIX's Shooting Star Press! LOVE themselves would be next out, as Keiji Hirano, unshackled by the burden of Yankizoku and rule breaking for the first time in almost two years shined, hitting Shino Hiriyama with the Moonsault Press for the three count. Six minutes later, Hirano would make his presence felt even more, as he debuted a new maneuver, a Falcon Arrow where the recipricant spins 180 degrees on BIG BOY Tomizaki for the three count! Hirano dubbed the move the "Savage Arrow" post-match, and announced that he was ready to enter a new chapter of his career alongside his generational peers as a proud member of AVENIR.
Three months ago, Ikuji Royama challenged Keoni Murata for the C-1 Junior-Heavyweight Championship in a match that most expected the red-hot Royama to steamroll through. The trickery of Keoni Murata had other ideas, as with Yankizoku help Murata retained the championship. Three months later, it was Royama's chance for redemption, and he did not come alone as STRONGEST CRIMSON ARMY members surrounded the ring to keep Yankizoku from interfering, turning the back into a one on one situation. This did not sit well with Keoni Murata, whose entire reign has been full of chicanery and tricks. Murata attempted to cause a distraction to enable Ichiyo Tatsuko to sneak through the barricade, only to have Masakazu Fujimoto HURL Tatsuko back on the other side. Even Murata's trademark surfboard was confiscated by Nobuyori Shimizu. With no other avenues left to pursue, Murata was forced to engage Ikuji Royama in a straight up battle...and was immediately blitzed by Royama. Murata was battered around the ring with kicks and strikes, leading to Royama hitting his trademark FLARE UP into the Sliding Shotei. However, instead of pinning Murata, Royama coolly pulled Murata to his feet before BLASTING Murata in the face with a high kick, covering to claim his dream of becoming the 11th C-1 Junior-Heavyweight Champion! Royama gave a passionate speech post-victory, rattling off the names of the wrestlers that Murata had used tricks to defeat instead of being the better wrestler: Hayato Saigo, Naoki Daishi, Akahito Yamada, and Royama himself. Royama insisted that those days had ended, and from now on he would usher in the next wave of Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON junior strength!
British superstars Edward Kingston and Johnny Smash were rewarded for their excellent track record in Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON just one month in with a C-1 Tag Team Championship bout against Yankizoku's AT Club. Both the Brits and the AT Club brawled early on in the match, with neither side coming out very strong. However, as the match went on the desperation for the British duo grew as they were unable to gain any significant advantage. Smash attempted to bash Takayuki Ariwa with a beer bottle, however, the massive power fighter evaded Smash's attack, before shoving him backwards right into an Enzuigiri from Hiroyuki Takano. With Smash knocked out of the match, the AT Club made quick work of Edward Kingston, as Ariwa hit the Angelos followed by the Moonsault Press by Takano into Ariwa's Splash Mountain for the crushing three count and their fifth title defense.
The Two Princes of Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON faced off -- Iron against Deathmatch, as former best friends "Iron Prince" Tenshin Komatsu and " Deathmatch Prince" Makoto Saito fought for only the second time since 2005. Both men made liberal use of the No Disqualification stipulations, with choke holds and weapon attacks abounding. However, it was clear that the advantage lay with Saito, who used weapons far more effectively then Komatsu. The only interjection of LOVE in the match was Shino Hiriyama throwing a garbage can full of plunder into the ring, including two bamboo swords. In the biggest moment of the match, Saito and Komatsu suddenly armed themselves and squared off in an impromptu kendo battle which Komatsu won through distraction after spitting in Saito's face to blind him, and then gave Saito a vicious crack to the skull. Komatsu aimed to finish off Saito with the Shikaeshi, his springboard knee attack, only to have Saito CRACK Komatsu in mid air with a chair. With Komatsu wounded, Saito blasted Komatsu in the face with a volley of kicks, before setting the chair against the side of Komatsu's head. With the chair in place, Saito BRUTALLY punted Komatsu with the Shiraku Blade, covering for the three count! Despite his victory, Saito wasn't satisfied, as he grabbed a ringside microphone and screamed at Komatsu to "repent". When Komatsu refused, Saito began to methodically punch Komatsu directly in the face until blood began to stain Saito's taped wrists. LOVE hit the ring, and pulled Saito away intent to simply save Komatsu from his beating. Despite his complete loss and post-match beating, Komatsu was given a microphone and on his way out began to challenge Saito for the REMATCH, saying that this match had favored Saito but that he wanted the rematch in "his" style, yet would only laugh when Saito demanded to know what that style would be.
In front of the biggest audience to ever view a Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON event, POWER SOURCE winner Tetsuhisa NAKAI from Pro-Wrestling FURY challenged the incumbent champion Akuma Toyota for Toyota's C-1 Heavyweight Championship. The two beasts attacked each other savagely, with Akuma Toyota surprisingly resorting to rule breaking tactics at times, including smashing NAKAI in the head with a chair to set up a nearfall. Toyota tried both the Akuma Ichimonji and Sakujo, but had difficulty raising NAKAI and keeping NAKAI from fighting back. However, NAKAI proved his strength by not falling easily to Toyota's brutish tactics. NAKAI sent the Miyagi crowd into hysterics with the MAX BULLET for the three count, only to be deflated as referee Hanzo Hijiyama revealed that Toyota had gotten his shoulder up at an impossible 2.9999 count. Despite the anger of the Miyagi fans, NAKAI aimed to finish Toyota off with a second MAX BULLET. However, Toyota fought back with brutal blows turned into lariats. However, NAKAI refused to fall even after five full powered Lariat's from Toyota. A sixth running lariat finally put NAKAI down for a near fall. With the lariats failing him, and the two power monsters staring at each other in defiance Toyota suddenly gave NAKAI a BRUTAL leaping headbutt directly to the side of NAKAI's face that landed with a sickening thud. With NAKAI stunned and clutching his head, Toyota capitalized with a fully charged running lariat to the SIDE of NAKAI's head, sending NAKAI collapsing on the ground in a heap giving Akuma Toyota the three count and his sixth defense of the C-1 Heavyweight Championship! The Miyagi audience jeered Toyota's near underhanded tactics and the suddenness of the result. NAKAI, still clutching his face where Toyota had suddenly headbutted him was helped out by his young charge Ryuugo Nagashima, while Toyota gave a victorious speech to the Miyagi fans. Toyota called the Miyagi audience out for cheering an "outsider" against him, before ending that regardless if they liked Akuma Toyota or not, he had proven once again that he was the strongest champion in the world to a shockingly loud negative reaction.
