Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON ~ 4/18/08 ~ News

Fallout from Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON's huge 4/15 event...

Tatsumichi Akamatsu was rushed to the Iwate Prefectural Central Hospital following Stephen Priest's sneak attack after the C-1 Heavyweight Championship match between Akamatsu & Goro Iijima where Akamatsu retained. Akamatsu suffered very little damage from the fireball surprisingly, except for some first degree burns around his face. What's said to be damaged more then Akamatsu's body, is his pride as several reporters have stated that he feels "scared" by Stephen Priest's actions. Also wrong with Akamatsu was his nose, as Goro Iijima nearly shattered it early in their match. It will take months for the nose to fully recover, but no mention of time off has been stated by Akamatsu yet.

Kazushi Mimura immediately sent a press-release after the end of the show, decrying Priest's actions and reitterated the ban on Priest saying that while he understood what Priest tried to do, he went about it in the wrong way. Akuma Toyota sent a reply message to the press almost immediately, DEMANDING that Mimura reinstate Priest so he could avenge his mentor, but as of yet, that has not been turned down or accepted yet...

Goro Iijima was not rushed to a hospital, as Goro Iijima refused to be treated. However, after protesting, Iijima was finally taken to a hospital later in the night. Despite the abuse he took, Iijima appears to have not suffered any serious injuries, but had some lingering issues like a deep cut on his face from Akamatsu's assault. Iijima was said to be taking the loss well...saying that he came within an inch of beating Akamatsu, and the next time they meet, he'd destroy him!

Moving on from the 15th, the next challenger for the C-1 Heavyweight Championship will be decided during the Power Source, as the winner will receive their championship opportunity in July. Already fireworks are beginning to fire, as Akuma Toyota in addition to his message against Priest, promised that on the 27th against NGI, He and Bishop would make sure neither Shimizu or Noguchi made the tournament at all, and with four BLACKHEARTS members in the tournament, they would have an "All Black" Final Four.

In the chaos of the BLACKHEARTS invasion, the C-1 Junior-Heavyweight Championship has been almost thrown to the background, but now Hayato Saigo and Akahito Yamada aim to bring it back to the foreground. Much like Yamada's match with Daishi back in February, the two wrestlers are beginning to show some hostility. Throughout the tour, the two have traded falls and barbs, with Yamada promising to show that intelligence will beat skill, but Saigo claiming that he has enough of both to beat Yamada...The two were invited to a short interview segement on Battle Station on the 17th. Unlike Yamada & Daishi's, this one stayed neutral and calm, but Saigo promised to show that he's "leveled up" beyond anyone else in CRIMSON and would regain the championship, while Yamada promised to prove without a shadow of a doubt that he was the strongest. Both expressed desires to expand the C-1 Junior-Heavyweight Championship's range from CRIMSON to the world after their match...An interesting comment was made as Saigo promised to not "sit by and watch" during the crisis in CRIMSON like Yamada has as champion...Yamada had no idea what Saigo was referencing and an awkward moment passed during the interview.
