A small press gathering was held earlier today in downtown Morioka, Iwate by Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON president Kazushi Mimura to announce details on the upcoming two day Korakuen Hall event called “GOLDEN QUEST 2DAY”. Mimura began by saying that he had wanted to make this announcement much sooner, but that negotiations had taken longer then expected, and along with the current situation in CRIMSON, it had made it almost impossible to get this news out…With that said, Mimura then announced that for this year’s GOLDEN QUEST 2DAY, that Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON would be holding a BATTELFUSION tournament called “BATTLEFUSION TRIFECTA CUP 2008”! Mimura said that he had always wanted to know how every promotion measured up in terms of the teamwork of their junior-heavyweights, and said that this was the best opportunity to find out…Five specific BATTLEFUSION promotions will be sending teams. Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON will lead the load with four and 1/3rd teams, with Mimura explaining that it had “become necessary to add more teams to round the event out”. Also participating will be Pro-Wrestling FURY with 1 and 2/3rds team, DYNAMITE with two, NANSEI with two & HERO with two. On top of that, the small independent promotion Sakura Pro-Wrestling will be sending a team. Mimura said that most people had been exposed to Sakura through the KAZUMA WORLD shows, but that this would be another chance to showcase their skills…The other six man team are from Mexico, and are the luchadore team that’s been featured in KAZUMA WORLD several times, of Máscara Del Norte, Sublime Kid & Justice. Mimura was quick to clarify that the booking of these two teams did not mean that KAZUMA WORLD would be represented, instead saying that these two teams would represent themselves…

Because of the less then sixteen number (Fourteen teams), two teams will be receiving byes to the second round of the tournament. Mimura announced that the two teams hadn’t been decided just yet, but that news and the bracketing would be announced soon, most likely after CRIMSON’s huge 3/25 show.
