The 2007 FUSION J-LEAGUE has ended, and the first every PWC Junior-Heavyweight Tag Champions crowned! In the first semi final match of the night, it was FREEDOM’s top team of Shino Hiriyama and Kazuhiro Okamura against Pro-Wrestling FURY’s Kotaro Ota and Fumihiko Shirai. The match was largely one sided with Hiriyama and Okamura dominating the action, but the OKINAWA SPEED STARS refused to be defeated easily, and kept putting up a valiant, if fleeting fight. Hiriyama attempted to hit the Picture Perfect German Suplex, only to suddenly have Shirai shift his weight in mid air, rolling Hiriyama into a perfect cradle for the flash three count! The OKINAWA SPEED STARS celebrated, while Hiriyama and Okamura were confused as to how a match they were clearly winning could be lost!
The second semi final of the night saw the two strongest of Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON’s Junior-Heavyweight teams take on each other. It was OVERTHROW of Akahito Yamada and the C-1 Junior-Heavyweight Champion Naoki Daishi against Hayato Saigo and Keoni Murata. Daishi entered to a new theme, called “RYDEEN”, his first theme alteration since joining CRIMSON in 2003. The match was back and forth with neither team controlling large portions of the match, however, Daishi’s nagging injury of his ankle proved to be OVERTHROW’s downfall, as Saigo targeted his ankle to weaken him, before spiking him with a Brainbuster for the revenge pinfall over the man who took his title!
FREEDOM’s IFS Openweight Championship was on the line in the semi main event of the night as the former Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON wrestler, Katsumi Gakusha returned to CRIMSON to take on Rouzeki-GUN’s enforcer, “Power Revival” Aku Toyota! Amazingly, Toyota showed his “level up” this year by controlling large portions of the match with his brute strength and intensity, however, Gakusha showed his own “level up” since leaving CRIMSON by refusing to lose, including surviving Toyota’s Shoukyakuro > Lariat combination by scant milliseconds. Toyota seemed to wind from his whirlwind assault in the later portions of the match, allowing Gakusha to pull ahead, before nailing the Blessful Crusher twice in a row to put Toyota away and retain the championship! After the match, Gakusha praised Toyota for his strength, saying that he had improved by leaps since he left CRIMSON, but that Toyota wasn’t in his league yet…Gakusha then invited Rouzeki-GUN to keep fighting him, saying that he would single-handedly beat Rouzeki-GUN alone!
The finals of the 2007 FUSION J-LEAGUE saw Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON and Pro-Wrestling FURY collide. The Tokyo fans were split on which team to support, with both sides getting loud reactions from the rabid fans in attendance. The OKINAWA SPEED STARS immediately tried to blitz their more experienced opponents with their speed, however, the “aces” team of Saigo and Murata refused to be taken off balance by this tactic, and began to obliterate Shirai with pinpoint double teaming moves, including at one point a Murata Backdrop into a Saigo firebird splash! However, the OKINAWA SPEED STARS continued to fight on like they did in the first semi-final, with Ota nearly getting Saigo with a cradle in the finishing stages of the match! Saigo and Murata continued to fight on, before Murata took out Shirai with an enzuigiri, which allowed Saigo to blast Ota with a springboard kneel kick! Murata immediately picked up Kotaro Ota and then spiked him on the back of his head with a perfectly bridged Backdrop Hold for the three count! After the match, all four bowed to each other, and shook hands, and then Hayato Saigo and Keoni Murata were crowned the first ever PWC Junior-Heavyweight Tag Champions!
