Profile:
Seiji Ebisawa is one of the biggest names in Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON history. Originally from the independent promotion "Jisedai Puroresu", Ebisawa formed a tag team with friend Katsumi Gakusha which won the Jisedai tag titles on two occassions with both reigns totally nearly, or over a year. In 2002, Jisedai suddenly collapsed due to financial issues. Without a home promotion, Ebisawa floated around before landing in what was then Project: BETA with Naoki Daishi and Katsumi Gakusha. There, they staged one of the most memored moments in CRIMSON history as they stormed the ring during a HANGUN/Sekigun tag contest and with HANGUN member GORO's help, they took control of the ring and held the event hostage. The four men then named themselves "Spirit International" and thus began the three way war between Spirit International, HANGUN and the BETA Sekigun. Seiji Ebisawa started as #2 on the pecking order of Spirit International, but it was he that broke away. Ebisawa sweeped the inagural Power Source Tournament in 2003, beating Stephen Priest in the finals. Ebisawa would carry the momentium to May 2003, where he defeated the then HANGUN leader Tetsuhiro Kaneda for the Version 1 heavyweight Championship...However, it was during Ebisawa's reign where the shift was made as Project: BETA was sold to technology superpower Kazushi Mimura and renamed to Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON. Ebisawa relinquished his championship, and was put in the decision match. Ebisawa failed in his quest to re-win the championship as Stephen Priest claimed the title. Seiji Ebisawa made it his goal to re-win the championship, but chaos reigned all around him. Spirit International broke up in 2004, which caused the members to fraction off. Eventually, Ebisawa landed in a new group called "Blood Tears" with Hachiro Yakuta, Shin Kaiju and Naoki Daishi...this group didn't last long, but caused Goro Iijima to align with the Sekigun against, beginning the two former friend's rivalry. When Blood Tears fell apart, Spirit International reformed for a short period of time with Ebisawa, Gakusha (Who had left the promotion), Naoki Daishi and the newcomer Shino Hiriyama. It was during this run that Ebisawa was able to reclaim the now renamed C-1 Heavyweight Championship when he beat Stephen Priest. Shortly there-after, Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON closed. Ebisawa eventually found his way to PROMO*JAPAN still carrying the C-1 Heavyweight Championship with him. Ebisawa nearly won the inagural P*J Tag league with Katsumi Gakusha, but then joined the PROMO*JAPAN sekigun and formed a partnership with "Tokyo Ace" Mitsuharu Nogami. When PROMO*JAPAN became Pro-Wrestling ZION, Ebisawa left the promotion and returned to Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON. It was there that Goro Iijima ended their battle when he defeated Seiji Ebisawa in a Loser Must Leave CRIMSON match...Ebisawa gave a heartfelt farewell to the fans and left the promotion. Ebisawa once again wandered before landing in FREEDOM, where he resumed his feud with former best friend Katsumi Gakusha. A request for help from President Kazushi Mimura was the motivation that Ebisawa followed in leaving Pro-Wrestling DYNAMITE and returning to CRIMSON, Seiji Ebisawa made his return to Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON on 4/27/08, and swore to defend the promotion he has fought for, and against. Seiji Ebisawa won the 2008 Power Source tournament, and then formed MOUJA a group that would protect Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON by any means, and they used these underhanded tactics to claim the C-1 Heavyweight Championship as Seiji Ebisawa dethroned Tatsumichi Akamatsu for the championship.
