Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON ~ 6/18/08 @ Amarune Town Gymnasium

The C-1 Junior-Heavyweight Championship was up for grabs in the main event of the Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON show at Amarune Town Gymnasium, as Hayato Saigo looked to make a successful V.2 defense of his championship against Natsuo Sakoda. Sakoda, who has been on fire since developing his new CRASH-UP finisher came in with momentium on his side. Both men went right for each other, and near the end had a significant series of escapes and reversals from each other’s moves. Sakoda tried for his CRASH-UP Swandive DDT twice in the match, but both times Saigo was able to duck out of the way, but Saigo himself couldn’t hit his Brainbuster. When he finally did, Sakoda shocked the fans by kicking out and showed that he had reached a new level of skill. Sakoda made a comeback and landed his Tiger Suplex Hold, but it would be Saigo that kicked out that time. Saigo would score again with his Brainbuster, but this time busted out his trumph card, a picture perfect Phoenix Splash to seal the match and Sakoda’s challenge for the championship! Saigo praised Sakoda’s strength post-match, and Sakoda vowed that while he had failed again to take the C-1 Junior-Heavyweight Championship, that he would continue to develop himself until he could reach the mountain summit that Saigo currently resides on…

The BLACKHEARTS clashed with NGI & Yuki Nomura in the semi final of the night, in what is quickly becoming a common match up. Before the match could begin, Takayuki Ariwa took a microphone and challenged the new tag team champions Akuma Toyota and Goro Iijima on behalf of his team with Takano! Iijima responded, and accepted their challenge, but said that they would have to make it to the match before they’d get a shot, instigating an immediate attack by the BLACKHEARTS! In the end, it would be the Tag Team Champions who were victorious as Akuma Toyota proved once again that he’s reached a level beyond his old status, as he CRUSHED Hiroyuki Takano with a charging lariat for the three count fall…Shimizu, Noguchi, and Nomura consoled their young partners, but surprisingly, it was Hiroyuki Takano who is usually the mild mannered of his partnership with Ariwa, who said that they would not “accept” this defeat! The former IFS Openweight Champion stated that he and Ariwa would “go beyond levels” even if it meant crossing a treacherous path in pro-wrestling. Ariwa likewise said that he could not accept this result after their challenge, and that they would vindicate themselves through victory. Toyota dismissed their challenge, stating that he only had one focus, which was to defeat Katsumi Gakusha on the 22nd to take the IFS Openweight Championship…

Still reeling from their championship title loss just two days ago, the Backdrop Brothers found themselves teaming with Hiroshi Kuroki against the MILLENNIUM STARS in the fourth match of the night. Despite having a size advantage, the sheer cunning of S.K., the brutality of SLAYER, and the…and Ryoma Inoue proved to be a formidable challenge for the threesome. In the end, it would be the man who will be embarking to the Deathmatch waters, SLAYER who scored the victory over Tsuruya with the Zanzai Lariat. After the match, S.K. announced that due to their schedules…S.K. preparing for the J1-MAX tournament, SLAYER preparing for the KING OF THE DEATHMATCH tournament, and Ryoma Inoue with a rigorous shampoo commercial coming up, that they needed someone to take care of the “little details” of their careers…and with that formally allowed Ichiyo Tatsuko into the MILLENNIUM STARS as the personal assistant to the group! Tatsuko ran to the ring, and bounced around in glee…S.K. then promptly wiped his face with a towel Tatsuko had brought to the ring and threw it on Tatsuko’s face before leaving. Tatsuko then proceeded to stare at the towel in amazement, before trying to towel off SLAYER who as usual gave no response.

Size was no limitation in the third match of the night, as the veteran team of Seiji Ebisawa and Keoni Murata were able to overcome the sheer size and mass of their opponents Kazuki Takagi and Izumo Yoritomo. Ebisawa, who has worked many lower card matches, is still trying to “reprove” himself in the eyes of the fans, and matches like this are taking him back to his beloved status. It would be Keoni Murata, who has been on fire this tour, who would score the decisive pinfall as he spiked Takagi on his head with a Backdrop Hold for the pinfall…Backstage, Ebisawa and Murata remarked that even though they had both been in CRIMSON for ages, they hadn’t really interacted much…Murata then wished Ebisawa luck in taking the C-1 Heavyweight Championship in July, while Ebisawa wished Murata luck in his never ending quest to regain the C-1 Junior-Heavyweight Championship.

Even with the disillusion of HEROICS, HANZO, Tomizaki and Royama continue to struggle. This time, they took on OVERTHROW and Eisaku Shimura in the second match of the night. In light of their PWC Jr Tag title shot later this month, Yamada and Daishi turned up their aggression and Yamada finished off Tomizaki with a Straight Jacket Suplex Hold for the three count fall.
