Three days before the beginning of Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON’s next tour, a press conference was held at the Bellino Hotel in Ichinoseki City in the south of the Iwate Prefecture. The press conference was simple, having been put together at the last minute with just enough seats for reporters, and a long table. Behind the table was a Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON banner. In the middle seat on the table sat CRIMSON president Kazushi Mimura. To his left sat Yuki Nomura, followed by Nobuyori Shimizu and Hayato Saigo. To Mimura’s right sat Goro Iijima, who unlike the others that had on suits, Iijima carelessly wore a t-shirt and jeans while propping his feet up on the table. Next to Iijima sat C-1 Junior-Heavyweight Champion Akahito Yamada. To the far right of the table sat C-1 Heavyweight Champion, and CRIMSON’s biggest enemy, “Supreme Commander” Tatsumichi Akamatsu who had refused to sit near any of the other CRIMSON wrestlers, and was almost an island to himself. Mimura began the press conference by thanking the reporters who had shown, and stated that he had wanted to hold the press conference in Miyako…but that Akamatsu had refused to show if it wasn’t held in a more important location, hence the move to Ichinoseki City and the Bellino Hotel. At this point, Nomura spoke into his microphone, and called Akamatsu a “terrorist”…Akamatsu just shrugged and ignored Nomura’s comments.
The first topic that Mimura broached was the departure of both Tenshin Komatsu and Makoto Saito…Mimura revealed that their departures were already completed, and neither would be seen in CRIMSON for the foreseeable future. He added that he had wanted to hold a retirement ceremony for Komatsu given all that he had done for CRIMSON, but that Komatsu had flatly refused his offer…Iijima spoke up, and had kind words for Komatsu, saying that he could tell for some time that Komatsu’s heart wasn’t in wrestling, and supported his decision. However, he returned Saito’s harsh words, calling Makoto Saito “worthless” and that DARK SUMMIT was better off without such a weak person…Akamatsu butted in, and called both Komatsu and Saito quitters who had given up hope when they saw his awesome power. Iijima screamed out “Shut up” and Akamatsu turned a harsh glare at Iijima, but actually did stop speaking…
However, the tone from Mimura turned positive as he revealed that Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON has made an important signing in the days between Komatsu & Saito’s departures until now. With great enjoyment, Mimura revealed that CRIMSON had signed former IFS Openweight Champion Hiroyuki Takano! Shimizu then spoke up for the first time, saying that this signing particularly excited him, since Takano was a young accomplished wrestler. Shimura then said that he had already spoken with Takano, and Takano would be joining the Neo Generation Idealists group as the fourth member! Mimura then took back control, and said that since no one in CRIMSON knew Takano’s battle power, a three match trial series would be held, as Takano will take on all three other NGI members on the next tour to determine his strength in a new arena! Iijima spoke up, calling Takano a “big fish in a small pond”, but Nomura came to the newcomer’s defense, saying that no one knows what Takano can do, and to discount him without watching him would be foolish. Iijima mumbled something in reply, but the press conference moved on.
Nomura fielded a question from a reporter about his condition…Nomura’s answer was half-hearted, but he tried to give out the impression that he was 100% for the upcoming tour. Akamatsu leaned forward in his seat, and locked eyes with Nomura before bluntly saying that Nomura was far from 100%! Akamatsu said that while his body may be healed, his heart and soul were far from 100%. Nomura just stared at Akamatsu, not giving a retort…However, Iijima suddenly leaned forward and locked eyes with Akamatsu before violently yelling at him to sit back! Akamatsu didn’t answer, and simply stared a hole into Iijima…Iijima at this point snapped and stood up while screaming that he would MAKE Akamatsu sit back! Mimura leapt to his feet as Iijima and Akamatsu squared off, and began to scream that if any violence happened at this event, said wrestler would be striped of their title and/or fired effective immediately! Both Iijima and Akamatsu turned to look at Mimura, before Iijima grudgingly sat down. Akamatsu once again shrugged, as if to say that it wasn’t his concern before sitting down as well.
The next subject was the date of Hayato Saigo and Akahito Yamada’s C-1 Junior-Heavyweight championship match. Mimura revealed that he had wanted to set it up this month, but had decided to wait until April to have their big match. Both men gave comments on the match, Saigo saying that he would re-cement himself as the strongest junior in CRIMSON with this win, while Yamada pointed out that he had more momentum then anyone in CRIMSON, and he wouldn’t let his train be derailed that easily after coming so far. The date of the match will likely be the 20th of April at a yet unspecified venue location.
Saigo fielded a question from a reporter, who asked if there was anything he wanted to do outside of winning the C-1 Junior-Heavyweight championship. Saigo responded that he’d really like to team with his friends Kotaro Ota and Fumihiko Shirai from Pro-Wrestling FURY again soon…Mimura then said that that may be possible, but didn’t reveal what he meant at the current time, and left the answer hanging in the air…
A reporter asked Mimura about Stephen Priest, but Mimura shut down the question by saying that nothing had changed, and that Priest was still banned from wrestling in CRIMSON. Akamatsu actually told Mimura to unban him, saying that it would give him another toy to break…but Mimura told Akamatsu that if his opinion mattered, he’d have closed CRIMSON by now. Iijima then said that Mimura should just un-ban Priest, because it’s not like he’s going away…Mimura again refused, saying that he didn’t care if Priest lurked around or not, he would absolutely NOT un-ban the man.
The next topic up for discussion was the C-1 Tag Team Championship match between “Supreme Commander” Tatsumichi Akamatsu & Akuma Toyota vs. Nobuyori Shimizu and Toshiro Noguchi. Mimura revealed the match would take place on 3/25 at Miyako 100 Tokuji Gymnasium…Akamatsu then spoke out seriously for the first time, and demanded to know why all his championship matches in CRIMSON thus far have been at CRIMSON’s holy ground of the Miyako 1000 Tokuji Gymnasium. Matter-of-factly, Mimura replied “So you’ll lose”. Akamatsu paused for several seconds…before laughing uproariously, before asking “Lose?” and then laughing more…At this point, Nobuyori Shimizu leaned forward, and pointed at Akamatsu before yelling that he would prove that Akamatsu is just a man, and take one of his championships! Akamatsu let off a long “oohhhh?” before pausing…and then laughing again, telling Shimizu that he was several years too young to even be a threat to him. Akamatsu then suggested that he wrestle without using his arms, and simply beat Shimizu with his legs. Shimizu this time leapt to his feet and screamed at Akamatsu to not taunt him, and called him several nasty words in a rare fit of anger…Akamatsu’s brevity suddenly lapsed, and he shot Shimizu a sharp look before telling him that he would live to regret such comments, and that he would show him the vast difference between them.
Akamatsu then revealed the real reason he had wanted to attend the conference, as he pulled out a PREPARED STATEMENT from his pocket, and took over the speaking of the conference as he began to read it. The press conference screeched to a halt as Akamatsu spoke about how his goal was to raise Pro-Wrestling to a new level by destroying all the “unneeded” elements and ridding it of “weakness”…Akamatsu then stated that for that reason, there was no one in Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON WORTHY of challenging him for the C-1 Heavyweight Championship and he would not wrestle anyone for the championship! Goro Iijima leapt to his feet and screamed “NANI?!” as Akamatsu continued his statement without pausing…Akamatsu revealed that he would most likely continue to wrestle “superior” wrestlers in KAZUMA WORLD in order to raise the value of the championship and CRIMSON…before he SEALED it if no one in CRIMSON could challenge him! Akamatsu turned his gaze to the other wrestlers, and in polite tones asked if anyone had any problem with having their championship sealed, since none of them could beat him anyway! Nomura rose to his feet, but Iijima cut him off as Iijima completely lost his cool and attempted to rush Akamatsu. Akahito Yamada caught Iijima and with help held him back as Akamatsu rose to his feet, and tauntingly asked if Iijima wanted to do anything? Iijima began to scream that he would “kill” him, but Akamatsu just leaned into Iijima strained face as he struggled and said “kill me?” before spitting in Iijima’s face! This act set Iijima completely off and he broke away from Yamada and Nomura and was nearly at Akamatsu before Mimura screamed “STOP” causing Iijima to pause…
Kazushi Mimura launched into a tirade on Akamatsu, calling him a despicable person who was attempting to make Iijima attack him so Mimura would have to fire him as he said before…but Mimura told Iijima to calm down, as he was finally getting what he wanted. This caused everyone to look at Mimura, as he revealed that AKAMATSU AND IIJIMA WILL FACE OFF FOR THE C-1 HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP! Akamatsu screamed out that he couldn’t do that…before Mimura reminded Akamatsu that while he couldn’t completely control Akamatsu’s booking, he still had control over setting up Akamatsu’s title defenses in Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON! Mimura said that Akamatsu had abused his power to defend out of CRIMSON, so Mimura was abusing HIS power in return! Akamatsu lost his cool for really the first time in CRIMSON as he yelled out in anger at this development, but Mimura actually taunted the “Supreme Commander” by telling him that in April, on the 15th, Akamatsu would defend against Goro Iijima and there wasn’t ANYTHING that Akamatsu could do to stop the match from taking place! Akamatsu seethed in rage, before he visibly calmed down…turned to Iijima who still was completely enraged, and yelled out “You are a dead man Iijima!” before turning around and leaving the press conference.
After things calmed down, Mimura thanked everyone for attending, and called an end to the conference, before saying that it was none too soon…However, he handed out lineups for the next tour to everyone who attended…
