Profile:
Before pro-wrestling, Makoto Saito carried an extensive background in the style of Kyokushin Karate. Saito began competing in low level independent pro-wrestling events in 2002, and gained knowledge with every match, rather than partaking in formal training. Saito made his debut for Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON in 2005 as something of a mystery. Saito immediately made an impression by advancing to the semi finals of that year's Power Source tournament, where he lost to future friend and tag team partner Tenshin Komatsu. The two eventually would help form the Rouzeki-gun with Goro Iijima before capturing the C-1 Tag Team titles in March of 2007. They would be a strain tendom, and would make six defenses of the titles before ultimately losing them to Tatsumichi Akamatsu and Akuma Toyota in December of that year. In March of the next year, Komatsu and Saito dropped a bombsell, as Komatsu announced his retirement from pro-wrestling, while Saito announced his resignation from CRIMSON, citing there was no point for him in CRIMSON without Komatsu. Alone once more, Saito returned to many of the small level indies he occupied when he broke into the sport in 2002. Saito finally reemerged to the mainstream in June of 2008 as a participant in the E+SPORTS KING OF THE DEATHMATCH tournament. Saito had never been exposed to the hardcore wrestling environment before, so many dismissed him as a possible winner. Saito faced Pro-Wrestling FURY's ZERO Kubota in the main event of night one in a two-hundred fluorescent light tube deathmatch. The two garbage novices procided to put on an incredible display of grit and mettle as the two shed buckets of blood. To the surprise of the fans, Saito pulled off the win after using a light tube assisted blade kick to keep Kubota down. Saito advanced to the semi finals of the tournament after beating Jin Nakasone, but suffered an unfortunate loss to Sean King in a deadly Barbed Wire Circus Net deathmatch... However, due to injuries suffered against Saito, King was forced to withdraw from the tournament finals. After being asked on incredibly short notice by E+SPORTS Director Nobuaki Ueda, Saito turned to compete in the finals without hesitation, before defeating Frank Dylan James in a hellacious tournament final to be crowned the 2008 King of the Deathmatch.

AFter Tenshin Komatsu's shocking return to Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON on December 24th 2008, it would take Makoto Saito five months to make his return as well. At Pro-Wrestling FURY's "DREAM+INFINITE IV" event at the Kyocera Dome on May 31st 2009, Saito confronted his old partner Tenshin Komatsu. Saito would go on to reference Komatsu's wife and children that Komatsu had abandoned shortly before returning to Pro-Wrestling. Makoto Saito announced his own return to the CRIMSON ring due to Komatsu's actions. Saito and Komatsu waged a bloody war for the rest of the year, before Saito soundly defeated his former friend. Saito denounced Komatsu, their friendship, and their future. Saito would float without aim before revealing himself as the mentor of Kazuya Endo, forming Bloody Gears as his personal faction.
