With the arrival of Izumo Yoritomo to CRIMSON, Keiji Hirano immediately joined up with the massive heavyweight to resume their off and on again teaming in PROMO * JAPAN and ZION. Hirano and Yoritomo aligned themselves with the Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON sekigun after the brutal attack from Rouzeki-GUN on the injured Nobuyori Shimizu, however, it proved to be a red-herring. Finally showing his true colors, Keiji Hirano betrayed Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON and Izumo Yoritomo as he aligned with "Supreme Commander" Tatsumichi Akamatsu's BLACKHEARTS faction with Akamatsu and Toyota when he decided to be on the "winning" side of the war. Hirano's natural cockiness has reached a new level as he's allowing himself to finally be himself for the first time in CRIMSON. Hirano's new direction as a soldier in the BLACKHEARTS paid off immediately, as with the BLACKHEART's help, Keiji Hirano was able to win the Winter SOLTICE Cup beating Hayato Saigo in the finals. However, after months of bickering, Keiji Hirano exposed himself as a "spy" for Seiji Ebisawa, and betrayed the BLACKHEARTS for MOUJA while at the same time finally moving down to the Junior's to fully display his talents. After failing to go anywhere in the renamed Yankizoku, Hirano grew tired of Yankizoku's actions before finally aligning with Yuki Nomura's AVENIR to restart his career at the beckoning of generational rival Kenjiro Amagawa.

After continuing to struggle as an AVENIR member, Hirano suddenly found himself given a promotion and his first position of power as the new leader of AVENIR 2.0. Hirano knows he has to grow up and quickly to be the leader he needs to be, but can he?
