Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON's FUSION League rolled onwards towards the Futaba Town Gymnasium in Fukushima. Tonight arguably held the biggest tournament match of the entire group stages, as the team that placed second of Akuma Toyota and Nobuyori Shimizu collided in the main event. Prior to that, the first match of the night saw BIG BOY Tomizaki continue his run of less then stellar success as Hiroshi Kuroki bested him with the PRISM. Tomizaki once again was berated by Takano who informed Tomizaki that if he couldn't net a single win on the final three shows of the tour that he would be replaced, much to Tomizaki's disappointment...
Akahito Yamada and AVENIR's Keiji Hirano held a spirited encounter with back and forth action, with Yamada using his simple style to hold Hirano's speed and agility in check. Yamada spiked Hirano on his head with the Cross Arm German Suplex for the three count. The former C-1 Junior-Heavyweight Champion formally challenged the winner of the 17th's title match to defend against him next...
The last non-tournament match of the night saw KYOURUI 6 emerge victorious over a star studded six man team. Keoni Murata, PHOENIX, and Ryoma Inoue bested C-1 Junior-Heavyweight Champion Ikuji Royama, Jr. Ace Hayato Saigo, and Royama's challenger on the 17th Kaisen Tiger. PHOENIX continued his personal vendetta on Saigo by brutally attacking him with objects throughout the match. At the end, PHOENIX punted Saigo in the groin, then hit the Resurrection for the three count. PHOENIX cut a microphone appeal after the fact telling the downed Saigo that everything Saigo had accomplished should have been his, and he would continue to make Saigo's life a living hell from now on...
The FUSION League of 2010 continued with the top two of KYOURUI 6 taking on the balanced power and technique team of Masakazu Fujimoto and Naoki Daishi. Fujimoto's power and Daishi's technique gave the two heels problems throughout. Daishi in particular shined, as his style of wrestling gave the two fits throughout, but it would not be victory for the two, as Tsuruya used his power to take over on Daishi before Tsuruya spiked Daishi with the Murder Carnival for the fall.
The C-1 Tag Team Champions faced a stiff challenge in the semi main event, as they battled the reformed team of Toshiro Noguchi and Takayuki Ariwa. The match had a "big fight atmosphere" as both teams went full bore throughout, even using their biggest moves in the match. As has become the trademark of TakaGawa, they used their wits to win the battle, as they knocked Ariwa out of the match with a double team Clutching Knee -> Backdrop Driver. This left Noguchi alone to fend off the tag champions. Noguchi gave a spirited fight, and even almost won with a desperation Thunder Hammer. However, the strength of the tag team champions proved to be too much as a flurry of White Flashes from Takagawa finally put Noguchi down for the three count.
Thirteen months ago, Nobuyori Shimizu and Akuma Toyota met for the C-1 Heavyweight Championship on 12/24/08. Twelve months ago, the two united to team in the FUSION League in January 09. Now, in January 2010, the two found themselves at odds once again for the banner of "strongest". C-1 Heavyweight Champion Nobuyori Shimizu and reformed rival Tenshin Komatsu faced off against the MVP of the wrestling world Akuma Toyota and his young partner Rui Kuriyama. All four wrestlers treated the match as a big affair, as did the Fukushima crowd with a buzz throughout the arena. To the surprise of the audience, Akuma Toyota and Nobuyori Shimizu started the match off! Shimizu attempted to charge in with a forearm, only to have the invincible hide of Toyota glance his blow off, before responding with his own! Both men began to trade elbows with the crowd rolling with every blow. Despite his intensity and desire, it was clear that Nobuyori Shimizu and his diminutive frame were clearly losing off against the devil himself. Shimizu displayed his ingenuity by ducking under a Toyota elbow then rising up with a rising elbow to Toyota's face! With the MVP stunned, Shimizu dropped Toyota with a dropkick sending Toyota flying into his turnbuckle! The Fukushima audience roared as Shimizu stood above the man many consider the strongest in CRIMSON, Akuma Toyota! Shimizu urged Toyota to come at him again, and with a look of pure fury it appeared Toyota would oblige Shimizu's demands. Rui Kuriyama had other ideas, as he tagged himself in! Toyota looked stunned at this development, but Kuriyama refused to allow him time to adjust as Kuriyama sprinted into the ring with a Kuri Lariat! Shimizu displayed the skill of a champion as he ducked under, grabbed Kuriyama and DROPPED HIM with the Tsuyosa German Suplex! Shimizu rolled and tagged in Tenshin Komatsu at the same time. Komatsu screamed as he entered the ring and BEHEADED Kuriyama with a Sliding Knee Kick! Komatsu covered, but Kuriyama proved his own strength by kicking out at 2.9! Komatsu locked Kuriyama in a clinch before throwing wild and VICIOUS knees to Kuriyama's face! Kuriyama collapsed after the third straight and Komatsu covered but Kuriyama defiantly kicked out at 1! The young power fighter rose to his feet, but was greeted by a FLYING Komatsu Knee Kick! Luckily for Kuriyama, the blow through him far enough back for Akuma Toyota to tag himself in, bringing the two men who wrestled at the Kyocera Dome on 5/31 face to face! The two rivals locked heads as neither man refused to step back in the least, before Komatsu fired off a low kick to Toyota's leg! Toyota responded with a THUNDEROUS slap to Komatsu's face! The two exchanged blows like this until Toyota finally lost his patience and gave Komatsu a WICKED short-range Lariat, before he charged across the ring and knocked Shimizu off the apron with a shoulder charge! The Fukushima roared in disapproval as Toyota went to work on the downed Komatsu. Toyota and Kuriyama double teamed Komatsu for some time, as Komatsu would attempt to fight back only to be viciously put back down into his place. Toyota allowed Kuriyama to carry much of the period to which Kuriyama did well. Kuriyama spiked Komatsu with a variety of moves including a German Suplex, a Kuri Lariat, and a powerslam. However, when Kuriyama went for his new final move the Jumping High Kick, Komatsu finally found the opportunity to fight back, as he ducked under the blow and fired off a desperation flying knee to Kuriyama's face! This dropped the young power fighter, and allowed Komatsu time to crawl over and attempt to make the desperation tag to Shimizu! Toyota and Kuriyama also made the tag at the same time as Komatsu and Shimizu did, resulting in the two strongest men in Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON going face to face for the second time in the battle of their teams! Toyota gave Shimizu no respect, as he BLASTED Shimizu with a slap so devastating that Shimizu's legs almost collapsed below himself, resulting in the champion being forced to grab onto the ropes for support! The heart of Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON is not so easily extinguished though, as the C-1 Heavyweight Champion roared in pain and anger as he fired back his OWN slap! Akuma Toyota momentarily reeled from the slap, but then fired off his OWN even MORE destructive slap resulting in Shimizu collapsing to one knee! The Fukushima audience cried out in concern for Shimizu as Toyota backed off from the kneeling Shimizu and lined him up for a lariat! Shimizu climbed back to his feet as Toyota charged across the ring to behead Shimizu, only to have the C-1 Heavyweight Champion duck under Toyota's massive arm! Shimizu hooked Toyota and hit the TSUYOSA GERMAN SUPLEX!! Instead of holding the bridge, Shimizu rolled through and gave Toyota a SECOND Tsuyosa German Suplex! Two wasn't enough for the champion, as he rolled through a third time before dropping Toyota with a High Bridged variation of the Tsuyosa German Suplex!!! The Fukushima crowds chanted along with Hanzo Hijiyama's count, only to have Rui Kuriyama desperately fly into the ring breaking the pinfall up at 2.9! Komatsu raced into the ring, and tackled Kuriyama out of the ring before following him to the floor! In the ring, Toyota defiantly began to pull himself back to his feet as Shimizu gave the signal for his killing blow, the Thunder-Fire Powerbomb! Shimizu grabbed the rising Toyota and SOMEHOW LIFTED TOYOTA TO HIS SHOULDER! The audience roared in shock, but Toyota had different ideas as he began to ELBOW the top of Shimizu's head before slipping out behind Shimizu! Shimizu momentarily fell to one knee clutching his head. This moment was all Toyota needed as he CHARGED Shimizu from behind with a Lariat! Shimizu collapsed to his knees, but began to pull himself back up to his feet as Toyota hit the ropes on the opposite side! Shimizu reached his feet right as Toyota charged into him like a train, BEHEADING Shimizu with a lariat! Toyota fell on top of Shimizu for the cover...but Shimizu KICKED OUT at two! The Fukushima audience once again roared with surprise at the champion's strength. On the outside of the ring, Kuriyama had trapped Komatsu in a reverse bearhug, keeping Komatsu from reaching the ring! Toyota lifted the nearly unconscious champion before hitting the Akuma Ichimonji! However, Shimizu kicked out AGAIN at 2.9 to keep his team in the match! Chants of Shimizu's name rang out from the Fukushima Audience as Shimizu used everything he could find to pull himself back up. When Shimizu finally did so, Toyota greeted Shimizu with ANOTHER horrific lariat! This time when Toyota collapsed on top of Shimizu, the C-1 Heavyweight Champion had nothing else to give, giving the team of Akuma Toyota and Rui Kuriyama the victory!
Komatsu raced to the ring alongside ringside members of SCA. Unsurprisingly, they all attended to Akuma Toyota aside from Masakazu Fujimoto. Akuma Toyota reached his feet, but the MVP had taken his own share of a beating and looked surprisingly weak in light of his victory. Toyota gestured to Fujimoto, who pulled something out of his back pocket. Toyota took a microphone from ringside and began to speak. Toyota called Shimizu a "weak champion" who couldn't even beat him without the championship on the line. Toyota screamed that HE was the "Ace" of Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON, and the rightful C-1 Heavyweight Champion! The Fukushima audience completely turned on Akuma Toyota, as Toshiro Noguchi attempted to charge Toyota but was held back by Takayuki Ariwa and Komatsu. Toyota defamed Shimizu further by accusing him of being a "traitor" by allowing the likes of Ariwa and Komatsu, their hated enemies into the ranks of the STRONGEST CRIMSON ARMY! Toyota finally declared that he REFUSED to play "second" to Nobuyori Shimizu or to be "nice" as Shimizu paraded around with Toyota's championship! Masakazu Fujimoto stood with Toyota as Toyota declared his immediate vacation from the STRONGEST CRIMSON ARMY, as he would do things the "Toyota way" from now on as the leader of HEAVY WAR! And that he would handpick his "soldiers" who would follow his orders soon. With that, Toyota THREW his microphone into the face of Komatsu before Toyota and Fujimoto left the ring together leaving the STRONGEST CRIMSON ARMY in disbelief...
