Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON has released a volley of information leading into the closing stretch of the year.
December 19th's Korakuen Hall event has received its full lineup to spruce ticket sales. All eight men in the four big singles matches at DUE TIME will square off in a special eight man tag. C-1 Heavyweight Champion Nobuyori Shimizu teams with C-1 Junior-Heavyweight Champion Ikuji Royama along with the "Deathmatch Prince" Makoto Saito and Keiji Hirano against C-2 Openweight Champion Hiroyuki Takano, Tenshin Komatsu, PHOENIX, and the "Nagoya Tower" Yujiro Higuchi. In the semi-main event Keoni Murata takes on the mysterious X who will be one of the mystery participants at DUE TIME five days later...
The full schedule for January has also been released. Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON kicks off the year in what is the "first event of the new year" scheduled to begin at 12:01 AM on New Year's Day. Admission will be free to those who attend and CRIMSON expects a "brand new experience" for the promotion.
In addition Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON will revive the FUSION LEAGUE for the second year running. The tournament starts in Iwate, moves to Tochigi gradually, and finishes up in Aomori, one of the rare times a huge event has been held outside of Iwate furthering CRIMSON's "expansionist" mindset. The only team announced are the winning team of the TakaGawa and HEAVY WAR C-1 Tag Team Championship match at DUE TIME. Last year's winners the AT CLUB went on to have a mammoth C-1 Tag Team Championship reign, but this year it is not believed the championships will be at stake.
And finally, on the 1st of February, Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON returns to Hokkaido for the second year running with "BLAST2 in HOKKAIDO", the direct sequel to the inagural event. Last year, Akuma Toyota defended the C-1 Heavyweight Championship against Yuki Nomura in what turned out to be Nomura's final challenge for the championship.
These special events, while important, pale in comparison to Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON's final event of the year. DUE TIME enters its sixth incarnation of the signboard event. Finally, after a limited lineup was released the full lineup has been released.
In the opening match, Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON holds a special "exhibition" battle royal with 100,000 yen at stake. Already announced are Toshiro Noguchi, Shuji Kawashima, Kazuya Endo, Keoni Murata, BIG BOY Tomizaki & Ryoma Inoue. In addition, there will be several "mystery" entrants throughout with one being revealed at Korakuen Hall on the 19th.
Two men mirror each other more then any other wrestlers in Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON, and in the second bout they will clash for the C-2 Openweight Championship. Hiroyuki Takano, the champion, will take on AVENIR's Keiji Hirano. Earlier in the year Hirano "betrayed" Yankizoku to restart his career the "right way" with AVENIR. Takano has promised to gain revenge even in the wake of Yankizoku's implosion.
The other half of the now destroyed AT CLUB is in action, as Takayuki Ariwa, who has sworn revenge for the betrayal of his allies in Yankizoku will take his first step towards his goal. Ariwa faces off against the on-form Mikio Tsuruya in Ariwa's first stop of vengeance. Tsuruya has repaved his career his year with his new move the "Murder Carnival", but faces off against an enraged Ariwa in a battle that will span all over the Iwate Prefectural Gymnasium...
One question has been asked constantly this year; "Who is PHOENIX"? The masked member of LOVE burst onto the scene boasting incredible abilities while also claiming to be a former member of the Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON roster. PHOENIX has done well all year, but faces off against an indomitable challenge, C-1 Junior-Heavyweight Champion Ikuji Royama. Royama has been the dominant force in the junior division for over a year. Royama won the GOLDEN CHANCE 2DAY tournament in April, and captured the C-1 Junior-Heavyweight Championship thereafter. Can PHOENIX's incredible athletic gifts be enough to stop the force known as Ikuji Royama?
Three teams face off for the PWC Jr. Heavyweight Tag Championships, and for one man, it is the return from a near career ending injury. In May of this year, Millennium S.K. suffered a neck injury that could have ended his career. However, with the support of CRIMSON and its fans, S.K. has made a full recovery and returns to action alongside his generational rival Hayato Saigo to take on two other teams. OVERTHROW have continually challenged for the PWC Jr. Heavyweight Tag Championships, and have always failed but they have managed to gain one final chance at the gold. The champions, PREDATORS made the return of the PWC Jr. Heavyweight Tag Championships to CRIMSON their top goal, ultimately succeeding in doing so. Since then, PREDATORS have been on a roll and look to have finally reached their full stride. But in this three way battle anything could and will happen.
For one year no one man dominated the Pro-Wrestling landscape like Akuma Toyota. Toyota captured the C-1 Heavyweight Championship in October 2008 and led into a whirlwind reign that saw Toyota beat the very best in the world to retain his championship for an unprecedented seven defenses and over ten months as champion. A cowardly attack by Mikio Tsuruya ended in injury forcing Toyota to vacate the championship and take four months off to heal. At DUE TIME, the wait has ended, as the strongest man to ever hold the C-1 Heavyweight Championship makes his return! Akuma Toyota teams with Masakazu Fujimoto to revive the team of HEAVY WAR to take on newly crowned C-1 Tag Team Champions Kenjiro Amagawa and Shinsuke Takahashi from AVENIR. For months, Fujimoto has called AVENIR and in particular Kenjiro Amagawa out for "preferential treatment" from their mentor President Yuki Nomura. Fujimoto has insisted that "TakaGawa" are not fitting champions, and alongside Akuma Toyota will prove that at DUE TIME!
An assassin from outside of a promotion is nothing new, but Yujiro Higuchi marks the first time that the "invader" was originally a home created original! The "Nagoya Tower" Yujiro Higuchi who had unprecedented success after being "forced" out of Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON in 2007 has returned for revenge, and what better way to enact the revenge then to steal the C-1 Heavyweight Championship?! There's only one problem for Yujiro Higuchi's plan: His opponent, Nobuyori Shimizu would rather die then allow that to happen! C-1 Heavyweight Champion Nobuyori Shimizu has been the heart and soul of Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON for years, but only recently did Shimizu achieve the dream that many had hoped he always would: Becoming C-1 Heavyweight Champion. The constantly undersized, constantly overlooked, and constantly injured Shimizu won a one night tournament to become C-1 Heavyweight Champion at CRIMSON's Anniversary on October 13th. Now faced with the largest man to ever challenge for the C-1 Heavyweight Championship at 196 centimeters, Yujiro Higuchi aims to crush Shimizu like a bug. Can Shimizu do the impossible and topple the Nagoya Tower and continue his storybook reign at the top of the ranks?
Since May 31st backstage at the Kyocera Dome a war has been waged in Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON. Where other battles are for pride, or championships, or glory, this was the only feud that was for something much more important. Friendship, Revenge and Redemption. At DUE TIME last year, Tenshin Komatsu made a shocking return to Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON after a ten month retirement. None were more shocked then Makoto Saito and Komatsu's own wife Maria. In the ensuing days, Komatsu abandoned his wife and family to focus entirely on gaining "revenge" on Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON with the Lone Original Violent Extremists by his side. The greatest of plans can fail to produce results, as Tenshin Komatsu failed to take the C-1 Heavyweight Championship from Akuma Toyota at the Kyocera Dome. When Komatsu made his way to the backstage area, he was greeted by a ghost of the past: His former partner and best friend, the "Deathmatch Prince", Makoto Saito! In front of the media, Saito confronted Komatsu over his actions including returning to Pro-Wrestling, and his abandoning of his family. When Komatsu attempted to ignore Saito, a brawl resulted with Saito pledging to make Komatsu see the error of his ways and redeem himself by force if needed. This one moment ignited a blood feud that has raged for seven months in Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON. On 7/27 at BATTLE ZONE'09 they fought with Saito defeating Komatsu in a No Disqualification Deathmatch. Instead of redeeming himself, Komatsu fell further in the hole and demanded a rematch. The second bout, a Cage Deathmatch took place on 9/27, and saw Komatsu reign supreme by knock out. With the pair split 1-1, it was decided to have the final chapter in the war at DUE TIME, in the most outrageous match possible: A Barbwire Cage Deathmatch! A special cage has been constructed that will allow the two to engage in rope work, and top rope moves but a top has been placed on top of the cage. There will be no escape. The only way to win is by pinfall, submission or Knock Out. The match will continue until one person falls. At the end of the battle that headlines DUE TIME, we will know if Tenshin Komatsu can be redeemed for his actions, or if the devil inside his soul has consumed every last shred of his humanity.
