The joint 2/27/09 event with CRIMSON and FURY isn't included in this write up. I plan on putting that out as a separate write up, but I'm more worried on getting caught up on CRIMSON "proper' right now. That show was standalone, so it can wait. I did include results at the bottom (Very bottom) of this, just incase I never get around to it and/or you want to know what happened. Unless you scroll WAY too far, you won't spoil yourself without meaning to.

Tenshin Komatsu had what should have been a warm up match for his bout against Yuki Nomura for Nomura's retirement, but instead found himself in a tough battle against Kazuki Takagi Takagi seemed more on his game then usual, and gave Komatsu problems throughout the match with Nomura in his corner. However, after a battle, Komatsu was able to drop Takagi with the Komatsu Knee Kick. After the match, Nomura told Komatsu that if this was what he had for him, he would beat Komatsu within ten minutes. Komatsu was not impressed, and Takagi felt insulted...
In the fourth match, it was the TEXAS ROUGHRIDERS against the AVENIR combination of Yuki Nomura and Shinsuke Takahashi. Jake Bishop scored what may be the biggest direct victory of his career, as he nailed President and Owner of CRIMSON, Yuki Nomura with the Texan Bomber for the decisive three count fall.
Former best friends and partners Kenjiro Amagawa and Mikio Tsuruya had their first definitive battle. Blood was shed by both men, with Amagawa bleeding early and Tsuruya late. Their respective groups, AVENIR and Yankizoku kept each other at bay keeping the match relatively clean for the type. Tsuruya used trickery early including a chair to keep Amagawa down; however, Amagawa made a comeback and eventually put Tsuruya down with a new move. After wrapping the chain around Tsuruya's neck and body several times, Amagawa then hit Tsuruya with an Ankle Clutch Backdrop Hold for the three count fall! However, the issue wasn't settled as Tsuruya attacked Amagawa as soon as he recovered, and threatened Amagawa with an escalation of violence...After the dust settled, Yuki Nomura announced that on his retirement event, Shinsuke Takahashi and Kenjiro Amagawa would square off to decide who would lead AVENIR, and after some discussion, the two young men clasped hands in a sign of unity.
In what was supposed to be a revenge match for Toshiro Noguchi against the man who injured his best friend Nobuyori Shimizu. However, Ariwa had other plans from the very beginning. There were no introductions, as both men had evidently found each other in the backstage area, and the two brawled to the ringside area. Yankizoku was a constant presence, with Noguchi having no real allies to keep them at bay. This wasn't the only issue, as at the first sign that their leader was in trouble, Yankizoku hit the ring attacking in mass, forcing the entire match to be thrown out the window, and the victory awarded to Noguchi! Understandably, the crowd in Tokyo jeered heavily at this, while Yankizoku beat away on Noguchi, but a wave of cheers came from the crowd as Nobuyori Shimizu, armed with a chair hit the ring and chased off Yankizoku! Shimizu angrily took a microphone, and barked out threats for Yankizoku after their leader Takayuki Ariwa attempted to seriously injure him. After a brief moment of pause, Shimizu and Noguchi hugged each other as brothers, and announced that they would reform their team full time in order to take the fight to Yankizoku, but Shimizu never once mentioned STRONGEST leaving the issue hanging in the wind...
Mentor and Student collided in the sixth match for the C-1 Junior-Heavyweight Championship as Hayato Saigo, poised to make history with his record breaking ninth defense took on the man who helped train him "on the job", Keoni Murata. Keoni Murata looked to revive his career, and even dug into his own past bringing a surfboard out to the ring having actually been born in Japan but to a Hawaiian father stationed in Japan. Also at ringside was Millennium S.K., who was snubbed in favor of Murata and had insisted at being at ringside for the match...The match itself went as expected. Keoni Murata couldn't keep up with Hayato Saigo in any category no matter how hard he tried. Murata at one point actually bent over to catch his breath after chasing Saigo around the ring...Saigo looked to have Murata finished, setting him up for the Brainbuster when there was suddenly a commotion at ringside, as Ichiyo Tatsuko from Yankizoku ran in and attempted to attack Saigo, but immediately retreated when Saigo noticed. Saigo and S.K. followed Tatsuko while Murata lay on the mat. Murata crawled to his corner and slowly pulled his surfboard into the ring. A weird buzz filled the arena as Saigo re-entered the ring ahead of the referee. The noise turned into shrieks of terror from female fans as Keoni Murata suddenly spun around and WHACKED Saigo with the surf board! At ringside, Millennium S.K. stood shocked with his hands on his head frozen as the man he had once looked up to covered the unconscious Hayato Saigo for the three count and his second C-1 Junior-Heavyweight Championship! S.K. finally snapped out of his stupor and raced to the ring where he began to scream at Murata, demanding to know why he did it. Murata ignored him and collected his championship, before calmly taking a microphone...Murata stated that it was "nothing personal", calling Saigo "Hayato-kun" but said that this was his first championship challenge in over a year, and he had to do what he had to do. S.K. screamed "What about Yankizoku?!", and Murata replied telling S.K. that he of all people should know that to capture your dream, you sometimes have to walk down a different path with different people. S.K. absolutely exploded in anger and charged Murata, but Murata PUNTED S.K. in the groin and then calmly left the ring with his championship to a completely stunned crowd...
Shino Hiriyama and Kazuhiro Okamura found themselves in one hell of a top contenders match against two men they know very well, Pro-Wrestling DYNAMITE's former ace Yoshiaki Matsuda and Masakazu Fujimoto. However, LOVE showed no fear and went into battle. ShinoMura found they were overmatched early, as by any token their opponents had everything over them. Matsuda had skill and ferocity while Fujimoto had size and power. For over six minutes, ShinoMura kept being repulsed by the sheer overwhelming power of their opponents, but ShinoMura proved once again why they are considered one of the greatest teams in the world, as they eventually found a gap in the armor of Matsuda and Fujimoto after the two accidentally crashed into each other with a double lariat attempt. From that point on, ShinoMura held close to Matsuda and Fujmoto using everything they had in their game plan from eye rakes to illegal weapons, to outright double teams. Near the end of the match, Matsuda nearly decapitated Hiriyama with a PK, however Matsuda left himself open as Okamura came flying out of nowhere with a running ace crusher or "KO". From that point on, it was Okamura against Fujimoto's awesome power. However, with awesome power comes an awesome responsibility to avoid cradles. Fujimoto lifted Okamura up for the Mount Fujimoto Bomb...However, Okamura fought and slid down behind Fujimoto before sweeping his legs and putting his shoulders down with a modified cutback cradle for the flash three count! Matsuda and Fujimoto had no complaints, as Fujimoto heavily praised ShinoMura's teamwork backstage. Hiriyama was his usual boastful self despite being KO'd by Matsuda, and said that they would prove they were the greatest tag team in the world again by winning the C-1 Tag Team Championships.
After all the insane antics throughout the night by Yankizoku, the fact that the main event had the #2 of the group in it going for the most precious prize in Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON made many believe they would see more...However, Hiroyuki Takano made Takayuki Ariwa and Yankizoku stay in the back, insisting on fighting his hated rival Akuma Toyota head on. For this, the beleaguered Tokyo crowd gave Takano a heroes welcome despite him being the bad guy. In Iwate and the neighboring regions, Akuma Toyota is still treated with a measure of suspicion...However, on this night in Tokyo; Akuma Toyota was treated as the ace of CRIMSON, with loud calls of his name and unanimous support. Toyota carried with him the IFS Openweight Championship for the defense, in a move engineered to anger Takano even further. Hanzo Hijiyama handled the title presentation ceremony for the first time, earning several calls of "Hanzo!" from the crowd in doing so. Instead of saluting the crowd during the introductions, Takano actually bowed to Akuma Toyota in a gesture of respect. During his introduction, Toyota responded by giving Takano the middle finger. Once the bell rang, Takano exploded from his corner, throwing a WILD kneel kick with no control, blasting Toyota in the face and cutting his head! Takano kept the pressure up as he blasted Toyota in the corner with knees and kicks, however Toyota eventually caught a Takano kick and the two moved to the center of the ring. Takano attempted to throw an enzuigiri but Toyota ducked under, grabbed the landing Takano and gave him a VICIOUS German Suplex whip! The match would continue to follow this pattern throughout the match. Hiroyuki Takano let his emotion carry him forward with a barrage of constant attacks, but when it came down to it, Akuma Toyota always seemed to be one step ahead of Takano ready with critical reversals or simple changes of the momentum. One of the most significant happened on the floor. Takano attempted an absolutely insane running top rope springboard attack that he's never tried in CRIMSON before. He may have telegraphed it too much due to being nervous as Toyota saw him coming and sidestepped, sending Takano crashing to the floor holding his knees. From that point on, Takano had no speed advantage over Toyota and was forced to fight Toyota's fight. A fight that Takano attempted to fight, but he continually lost ground to the awe inspiring power of Toyota. Toyota hit a lariat and the Akuma Ichimonji on Takano, but Takano kicked out, refusing to go down to the move! Toyota went for it again, but Takano spun out in mid air and in one motion BLASTED Toyota with the Takano Flash! Takano, instead of going for the Takano Driver, suddenly grabbed an inside cradle on Toyota for the 2.9999 count to a roar of approval from the crowd! Takano bounced to his feet to try and keep the momentum going, but Akuma Toyota bulldozed him with a lariat! Toyota attempted a second in a row, but Takano caught the arm and threw himself into a crucifix! Only problem, was that Toyota didn't go down, Toyota stood with Takano desperately trying to turn him over. Toyota positioned himself, and then backed up with tremendous force SLAMMING Takano sideways into the turnbuckle! All the wind was driven out of Takano's body and he collapsed to the mat. Toyota lifted Takano by the hair and then lariated him nearly out of his boots but AGAIN Takano found the will to kick out! However, Toyota sealed the deal by lifting Takano and planting him with a second Akuma Ichimonji, this time Takano was unable to summon his will and kick out, giving Toyota his fourth defense of the championship!
The Tokyo fans gave both men a rosing ovation for their effort. Surprisingly, Hiroyuki Takano and Yankizoku retreated without incident. This left Akuma Toyota alone in the ring, and the C-1 Heavyweight Champion took a microphone. Toyota led off by praising Takano for his effort, but in usual Toyota fashion said that it just wasn't good enough... Toyota then issued an OPEN CHALLENGE to anyone in CRIMSON to face him for the championship! There was a pause as Toyota waited for someone to come out. Toyota began to call everyone in the locker-room cowards when "Space Cowboy" hit, and "Texas Outlaw" Jake Bishop stormed to the ring! Many fans in Tokyo stood up and cheered as Bishop climbed into the ring. The two mammoth fighters squared off, before Bishop looked directly at Toyota's C-1 Heavyweight Championship, a title that Bishop has never challenged for! Bishop then PUNCHED TOYOTA IN THE FACE! The C-1 Heavyweight Champion reeled backwards, and Bishop exploded into him with the Texan Bomber, laying the champion out! Jake Bishop stood over Akuma Toyota holding up both his own C-2 Openweight Championship and Toyota's C-1 Heavweight Championship, evidently making his challenge known!
