[CRIMSON] 2/02/09 ~ News ~ The Final Pillar...Falls?!

News has broken after the 2/01 Zepp Sapporo event in Hokkaido. It may go down as one of the most significant news items in Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON history.

The final pillar of Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON's old guard may have fallen.

After losing to Akuma Toyota, and giving a heartfelt appeal about the "new" generation of Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON wrestlers fighting for the title of "ace", backstage, Yuki Nomura quietly announced his plans to RETIRE from active pro-wrestling! Nomura revealed that he has been wrestling for almost eighteen years and with a growing family (his third daughter was just born months ago), at the age of almost thirty eight, and as the president of Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON, Nomura felt it was time to move on and give all his focus to the CRIMSON front office, and to his family for the first time in his life. Nomura said that he was in a "happy place" right now, and could do virtually everything he was doing now including mentoring AVENIR from the sidelines.

Nomura heavily praised Akuma Toyota, saying that if he hadn't felt Toyota's strength tonight, that he would have never made the announcement but that because he truly felt that Toyota could fill the role CRIMSON needs, he had no regrets. However, Nomura was quick to point out that that this is pro-wrestling, and he could very well change his mind tomorrow. But for right now, his heart said to hang up the boots.

As of right now, there are no details on what Nomura's plans are, if the retirement is immediate, or if he'll have a farewell tour. More details will be released.
