[CRIMSON] FUSION LEAGUE 09: 1/17 to 1/24

The 2009 FUSION LEAGUE continued rolling at the first of two nights at the Sendai City Gymnasium. Toshiro Noguchi and Keoni Murata were both victorious in undercard matches over Kazuki Takagi and Natsuo Sakoda respectively. The third match of the night saw Ikuji Royama continue his fearsome form going into his C-1 Junior-Heavyweight championship match with Hayato Saigo on the 1st as he pinned Shuji Kawashima in eight man action leading Yankizoku to victory over STRONGEST. Of note, due to booking error, SLAYER ended up teaming with his old leader Millennium S.K. The two shined as a unit during the tag match even in defeat. S.K. attempted to woo SLAYER to rejoin him, but Rui Kuriyama suddenly appeared and dragged SLAYER to the back...

The FUSION League matches began with the AT CLUB scoring a competitive victory over PREDATORS, where PREDATORS attempted to use their speed to make up for the size difference. They were eventually caught and Hiroshi Kuroki was put away with a combination Powerbomb into a Moonsault for the victory. Kenjiro Amagawa got a chance for revenge against Mikio Tsuruya, but only brought the young man disappointment. Tsuruya ran away from Amagawa, unwilling to fight his former best friend as a means to taunt him. The two eventually tangled and ended up fighting to the back. This left Tomizaki alone with Nomura. Nomura promptly dispatched him. OVERTHROW and the TEXAS ROUGHRIDERS met once again, with the same result taking place. Jake Bishop forged the path to victory again, with Kuriyama simply riding along. Bishop eventually hit Naoki Daishi once again with the Texan Bomber, pinning Daishi for the three count. Akuma Toyota and Nobuyori Shimizu displayed their strength in a dominant victory over the LOVE team of Shino Hiriyama and Kazuhiro Okamura. ShinoMura had far better teamwork due to years as a team, but they couldn't bridge the gap in pure strength with C-1 Heavyweight Champion Akuma Toyota hitting Hiriyama with the Akuma Ichimonji for the three count fall.

Akuma Toyota and Nobuyori Shimizu continue to reign over the tournament, being unbeaten over four events. There is a huge jackknife for second place in the tournament, with three teams sitting at the same point tally. AVENIR, Yankizoku and the TEXAS ROUGHRIDERS are all battling it out. LOVE is the odd team out with four points. OVERTHROW, PREDATORS, and the Tsuruya & Tomizaki team are on the verge of elimination.

----

Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON returned to Sendai City Gymnasium #2 for the second night of the weekend's events. STRONGEST collided in the first match along with AVENIR's Kazuki Takagi in tag action. Unsurprisingly, it was Takagi who fell to Millennium S.K.'s Millennium Driver for win. The second match of the night pitted Yankizoku against Unaligned CRIMSON members, with Ikuji Royama once again coming out on top after hitting Natsuo Sakoda with the Sliding Shotei keeping his near perfect form in tact.

The C-1 FUSION LEAGUE's matches of the night began with Akuma Toyota and Nobuyori Shimizu taking on Mikio Tsuruya and BIG BOY Tomizaki. Tsuruya did some mental math, and realized the odds weren't in their favor for a victory and convinced Tomizaki to leave the match and get counted out...However, on their way out, Tomizaki was caught by Toyota and dragged back in the ring. Proving to be a caring person, Tsuruya simply watched as Tomizaki was beaten up by the two STRONGEST members. Tomizaki at one point screamed for help, but Tsuruya just screamed back that this would make him become faster to avoid being beaten again...Unsurprisingly, Tomizaki was crushed by a Toyota lariat for the win.

In what may be the single biggest upset in the history of Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON, PREDATORS scored the upset victory over the TEXAS ROUGHRIDERS when Kaisen Tiger cradled Jake Bishop! Throughout the match, the TEXAS ROUGHRIDERS beat on PREDATORS, but PREDATORS remained in the fight none the less, showing off their courage. However, they couldn't come close to besting Bishop who lifted Tiger for a move, only to have Tiger suddenly snap off a cradle for the flash three count! Bishop was in shock after the match, but could do nothing.

OVERTHROW, Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON's premier junior tag team faced off against what was once Pro-Wrestling DYNAMITE's top junior team Shino Hiriyama and Kazuhiro Okamura, or also known as ShinoMura. The two teams found they were deadlocked against each other, with neither team being able to pull away. Despite all their intensity, and high impact moves neither team could win and the match ended in a thirty minute draw, the first of the tournament!

AVENIR took on Yankizoku's AT CLUB in the main event of the night. For Kenjiro Amagawa, the match had special significance since it was Takayuki Ariwa who convinced Mikio Tsuruya to betray him, while the AT CLUB fought to cement themselves as the strongest team in CRIMSON. For Amagawa, revenge would have to come another night as Ariwa and Takano displayed their combination of Power and Speed to perfection. As Takano held Nomura at bay, Ariwa crushed Amagawa with his Splash Mountain, getting the victory.

Five teams remain in play heading into the final two events of the tournament. STRONGEST remain in the lead, still without having tasted defeat in the tournament. With two nights to go, STRONGEST have cemented themselves in the finals. Behind them in the number two spot, from Yankizoku the AT CLUB with eight points, followed by former tag champions the TEXAS ROUGHRIDERS who are tied with the AVENIR team of Yuki Nomura and Kenjiro Amagawa at six. The final team still in play is the LOVE team who are barely clinging on to hope with five points. OVERTHROW, PREDATORS, and Tsuruya & Tomizaki have all been eliminated from the competition mathematically.

----

Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON landed at the Towada Citizen Gymnasium for the second to last night of the C-1 FUSION LEAGUE to a disapointing crowd, however, the wrestlers still put on the best event they possibly could. AVENIR and STRONGEST's weakest members clashed in the opening match, and for once Kazuki Takagi was able to best an opponent submitting Shuji Kawashima with a crab hold. The next match saw SLAYER absolutely demolish Natsuo Sakoda in violent fashion, ending Sakoda's night with the Zanzai Lariat. Toshiro Noguchi and Keoni Murata ended up in singles action against each other. Murata put up the best fight he could, but couldn't overcome the size difference as Noguchi bested him with the Thunder Hammer for the win. The final non-tournament match of the night saw STRONGEST's C-1 Junior-Heavyweight Champion Hayato Saigo team with his generational rival and friend Millennium S.K. against the Yankizoku team of Ryoma Inoue and Ikuji Royama. Despite Ikuji Royama's strength, it was Ryoma Inoue who failed as Millennium S.K. got his hands on his rival and put him away with the Kamachi Big Bang for the win.

In the first tournament match of the night, it was OVERTHROW against Mikio Tsuruya and BIG BOY Tomizaki. For whatever reason, Mikio Tsuruya decided that tonight he wanted to wrestle, and gave his all against OVERTHROW shedding the comedy image he had taken for the tournament. However, the strength of OVERTHROW guided them to victory when Daishi pinned Tomizaki after a Northern Lights Bomb

Shino Hiriyama and Kazuhiro Okamura, ShinoMura went toe to toe with the exciting young junior team of PREDATORS in the second tournament match of the night. PREDATORS displayed their courage and speed in the match, forcing ShinoMura to keep up which did not play to ShinoMura's strong points. However, it wouldn't be enough as Hiroshi Kuroki was hit by a succession of big moves leading into Okamura's KO Cutter for the three count.

The two men who will clash on the 1st for the C-1 Heavyweight Championship in Hokkaido, Akuma Toyota and Yuki Nomura finally met up in the tournament. Along with their partners Nobuyori Shimizu and Kenjiro Amagawa, the two waged war for thirty minutes  but Yuki Nomura refused to fall to his powerful rivals, and helped boister his young charge to keep fighting, ending with a thirty minute draw much to the dissatisfaction of everyone in the match and the fans...Nomura took a microphone, and told Toyota that no one was giving him a chance against Toyota for the championship...But that he would prove who the strongest "ace" of CRIMSON is by becoming the first person to ever hold the C-1 Heavyweight Championship four times!

The final tournament match of the night pitted the two teams that were in the match that spawned the need for this tournament, the former champions the TEXAS ROUGHRIDERS against the Yankizoku leading team of the AT CLUB. It was a month ago on this very day that their tag title match ended up a no-contest due to the intrusion of LOVE causing the tournament to be created. Tonight, there would be a winner unlike the last time these teams met. As always, Rui Kuriyama placed all his faith in the big man from Sweetwater Texas, and was not disappointed as Jake Bishop almost single-handedly led the team to victory, spiking Hiroyuki Takano with a release gutwrench powerbomb for the three count!

Going into the final night of the tournament, amazingly, five teams are still in play. Akuma Toyota and Nobuyori Shimizu remain unbeaten, but Yuki Nomura and Kenjiro Amagawa gave them a helluva fight going to a draw. Behind them tied for the number two slot are the TEXAS ROUGHRIDERS and the AT CLUB both teams at eight points. If the finals were today, the TEXAS ROUGHRIDERS would make it due to having a direct win over the AT CLUB. Yuki Nomura and Kenjiro Amagawa along with ShinoMura are still in play going into the final night with seven points each but in a desperate way with much of their fate being left out of their hands.

Here is the breakdown.
