Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON ~ 9/30/08 ~ Death? Or Rebirth?

It has been almost a month since any news from Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON has surfaced. On August 28th, there was a series of chaotic events for Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON...Suddenly, the entire September tour including two shows at Zepp Tokyo were canceled without warning. Ticket buyers were given refunds for their purchases, and for all intents and purposes Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON went on lock down. When interviewed, none of the wrestlers in the promotion could comment on the situation, since they too knew nothing of the situation. Kazushi Mimura vanished from the public spectrum. Finally, around the 15th of September, a small press release was issued stating that the September tour had been cancelled due to poor ticket sells, but speculation was raised that the promotion had run out of funding, and that Kazushi Mimura was frantically trying to come up with more money to fund the promotion, even digging even further into his rapidly depleting resources.

New began to circulate around the 20th that a press conference was scheduled for the 30th of September to explain and clarify the circumstances.

Kazushi Mimura held the festivities at a small audience room at a Miyako hotel near the hallowed halls of the Miyako 1000 Tokuji Gymnasium. Mimura was stark with his explaination of the situation.

Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON was making money. Yet the company was on the brink of death.

Mimura simplified the explanation by saying that after all these years of fighting the current of this industry, that he was burned out from running Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON and in the last month had been actively looking for someone to buy the promotion. That was the reason for the tour cancellation, and not any kind of economic problem. Mimura stated that it wasn't an issue of love, or desire, but that he simply had run out of steam after so many years. However, the current economic situation, and the large asking price kept buyers from purchasing the company, forcing Mimura to re-evaluate the situation. Instead of selling CRIMSON, he would step down as President of CRIMSON, and hand the responsibilities over to someone else...Mimura stated that he would still help with the financial side of the Promotion, but this would take away all his responsibilities on the day to day operation of the promotion. Mimura stated that he had asked several important figures in the Pro-Wrestling industry, and had interviewed many of the Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON staff and wrestlers...but that one candidate stood out as the best fit for the job. Mimura then gestured to his side and the new President walked into the room...

The new Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON President is none other then three time C-1 Heavyweight Champion...YUKI NOMURA!

The press in attendance snapped up photos as the Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON signboard player shook hands with Mimura, dressed in a suit before he stepped up to the microphone...Nomura started off by saying that for six years, through turmoil and hardship, that he had dedicated his life to Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON. Through thick and thin, he never had thoughts about leaving even at the expense of his family's well being. Nomura stated that when he had heard about this position, he had leapt at the chance. Nomura stated that he had never been the strongest wrestler, but that now he could help Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON grow and become stronger then ever before. Nomura then asked for everyone to go easy on him in the next few weeks before bowing politely...

However, from that moment on Nomura was all business, as he declared that this was a "changing moment" in the history of Pro-Wrestling, as CRIMSON will aim to become a tighter product, more aimed at becoming a stronger brand for the average wrestling fan...but that there was business to take care of.

Nomura produced a short list of people, and said that these were people who either had quit Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON during the break period, or that had already been let go. They include:

Izumo Yoritomo (Quit)
Daisuke Yamazaki (Let go)
Eisaku Shimura (Quit)

Kazuki Takagi had been let go, Nomura stated, but then the big man immediately retired. Nomura said that Takagi’s decision hurt him so much that he immediately rehired the big man...Nomura said the loss of Izumo Yoritomo had hurt, but that they wish him best in the future where ever he ends up going.

Nomura then turned his attention to the Sixth Year Anniversary of Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON stating that it was absolutely a must to hold this show. The show will be held at the Miyako 1000 Tokuji Gymnasium which has been booked for months now.

Nomura produced a hand wrote match list and used a projector to place it on a blank screen behind him for the press to see...The show will be titled "TIME GOES ON" to symbolize that no matter what, CRIMSON will keep going. As would be expected, the main event is Seiji Ebisawa defending the C-1 Heavyweight Championship against the IFS Openweight Champion Akuma Toyota in what could very well be the last gasp for the BLACKHEARTS. In the semi main evemt, Hayato Saigo will aim for his fifth defense of the C-1 Junior-Heavyweight Championship against MOUJA's Keiji Hirano. The third match from the top sees the President Yuki Nomura team with Nobuyori Shimizu against the BLACKHEART duo of Goro Iijima & the Texas Outlaw Jake Bishop.

Nomura spoke at length about the fifth match...titled the "END OF THE STARS?"...Nomura stated that due to Ryoma Inoue's betrayal of the STARS, that this match had been scheduled for some time...At the Zepp Tokyo event, Inoue was scheduled to have a mystery partner take on S.K. & SLAYER...the mystery partner, Inoue confided to him, was supposed to be Ikuji Royama. Instead of that match, Inoue has promised another mystery partner to team with him and Royama...With the catch that if the STARS lose, they must disband.

The other big match on the show sees Toshiro Noguchi aim for his second singles title opportunity against the C-2 Openweight Champion Naoki Daishi.
