Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON ~ 8/12/08 ~ News & Lineups

Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON once again sent support to Pro-Wrestling FURY for a big event, as both Akuma Toyota and Goro Iijima of the BLACKHEARTS appeared on Pro-Wrestling FURY's big event on the 11th called ERUPTION at Ryogoku Kokugikan in Tokyo.

Akuma Toyota demolished the young UPRISER'Z member "Lioness" Tsuji in a match where if Tsuji won he could change his name. Toyota practically murdered Tsuji in route to hitting a powerful lariat, and his top move the Akuma Ichimonji for the win. Toyota was quoted as claiming that he had felt like taking out some frustrations for the recent events to the BLACKHEARTS in this match...

Goro Iijima on the other hand came up short as he teamed with his now displaced leader Tatsumichi Akamatsu in a tag match against the "Team Golden" of Kazuma Fujita and Mitsuharu Nogami. The former PWC Heavyweight Champion Nogami would be the one who put Iijima way with his rarely used move the Delirium Trigger. No details were given on Akamatsu's status coming from the event with neither Toyota nor Iijima having details...

1. Name Change Approval Match: Akuma Toyota [CRIMSON] beat Lioness Tsuji (3:55) with the Akuma Ichimonji.
2. TEAM GOLDEN REVIVAL ~ Special Tag Match: "Mr. 300%" Kazuma Fujita & "Tokyo Ace" Mitsuharu Nogami beat Tatsumichi Akamatsu & Goro Iijima [CRIMSON] (18:03) when Nogami used the Delirium Trigger on Iijima.

A small press conference was held in downtown Morioka earlier today to reveal the lineups for Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON's upcoming "BRAVE DESTINY in IWATE" series where all the events will take place within CRIMSON's home prefecture of Iwate. President Kazushi Mimura held the festivities while C-1 Heavyweight Champion Seiji Ebisawa was in attendance, apparently having been granted some type of "match maker" status...

The key match announced takes place on the 24th at the Iwate Town Training Center...Mimura deferred to the C-1 Heavyweight Champion as apparently the match had been Seiji Ebisawa's idea...Ebisawa explained that with Akamatsu's "impeachment" at his hands, that the "war was ending" and this match would further speed up the process...The match in question is an Elimination Series where two teams will face off in a series of singles matches with the winner advancing to the next match until all members of the opposing team are defeated...However, it will feature THREE TEAMS with the losing team alternating in dispatching the next person to face the surviving wrestler instead of the usual two! Ebisawa called it the "battle climax" as the possibility exists for some of the biggest singles matches in Pro-Wrestling CRIMSON to happen in this series. The only way to win is to completely defeat BOTH TEAMS in singles matches.

The three teams are somewhat predictable:

MOUJA - Seiji Ebisawa, Keiji Hirano, Takayuki Ariwa & Hiroyuki Takano
BLACKHEARTS - Akuma Toyota, Goro Iijima, "Texas Outlaw" Jake Bishop & Rui Kuriyama
CRIMSON - Yuki Nomura, Nobuyori Shimizu, Toshiro Noguchi & Hayato Saigo

Out of all the names, only the C-1 Junior-Heavyweight champion Hayato Saigo stands out...Ebisawa explained that since Hirano challenged Saigo, he wanted to see how Saigo would do for the first time entering the war that has infected everything but the Junior's. Ebisawa praised Saigo as the "strongest junior in CRIMSON", but stated that this was a life or death struggle, and questioned how Saigo would survive...

As for motivation for winning beyond simply bragging rights...Seiji Ebisawa stated that if anyone were to pin him in this match...they would get a C-1 Heavyweight Championship match, regardless of who it is! Ebisawa challenged Toyota to do the same with the IFS Openweight Championship, but said that he doesn't have to if he's too scared to have that possibility...

As for the rest of the tour, Mimura took over and revealed a few key matches...On the 17th, Akahito Yamada gets to play spoiler again as he will face best friend Naoki Daishi for the C-2 Openweight Championship! Yamada was the one who ended Daishi's mammoth C-1 Junior-Heavyweight Championship reign in February, so the match makes sense despite their close friendship.

On the 21st Kenjiro Amagawa and Mikio Tsuruya get their chance at revenge, as they will challenge Akuma Toyota & Goro Iijima for the C-1 Tag Team Championships. The Backdrop Brother's have still been in good form, and look to regain the titles that they lost just six days after winning them.

The other big matches all involve Ikuji Royama...Both Kazuki Takagi and HANZO will get their chances at revenge for what Royama did to them and Akira Tomizaki, as Takagi takes on Royama in singles competition on the tour opener on the 15th, and HANZO gets his chance on the tour closer on the 24th at the Iwate Town Training Center
