The C-1 Heavyweight Challenger match ended up being Toshiro Noguchi against the fast rising young wrestler Takayuki Ariwa! Ariwa showed off his skills early in the match by staying competitive with his senior in N.G.I, however, Noguchi had an ace up his sleeve. A new running lariat to go alone with the Thunder Hammer called the “Tokkan” or “Lightning Strike”. Noguchi used this high powered lariat late in the match in multiple forms, before Ariwa was finally put out by a sliding variation of the move to give Noguchi the biggest match of his career on 10/13 against Goro Iijima!

The other big match of the night saw Keoni Murata and Hayato Saigo make a successful V.1 defense of the PWC Junior-Heavyweight Championships against their hated enemies of Millennium S.K. and Ryoma Inoue. Saigo spiking Inoue with a Brainbuster for the victory…However, S.K. was quick to redemand a rematch, calling Saigo & Murata’s victory a “fluke”! After some verbal abuse, Murata and Saigo had enough and a rematch was set up for 10/13!
